Healthy, well styled hair instantly elevates your overall look and confidence. I've been coming to Salon Leezae since 2023. I could not believe that this place is only 5 minutes away from my home in Clayton. I've struggled with my curly hair since I was teenager; it was when I became more aware of my appearance and always wanted that Asian straight shiny hair. I started straightening my hair since I was 13 years old in the Philippines. Back then, salons have used this very strong chemical that consistently caused my scalp to scab. I migrated to the U.S. and the same story. The price of having a straight hair was living with scabs on my scalp for a few weeks. Until... I've had too many stylists who say they "get" curls and then do whatever they want. Kelly at Marie's Salon was the complete opposite. She took the time to really listen, asked smart questions about how I style it, what I like and don't like, and repeated everything back so we were perfectly on the same page. (The fact that she has gorgeous curly hair herself was an instant confidence boost--she clearly understands curls on a personal level!) I got exactly the cut I asked for: great shape, face-framing layers that actually work with my curl pattern, and it's so easy to manage at home. The shampoo and that incredible head massage were pure bliss. The salon is spotlessly clean, professional yet super relaxing, and the price was completely fair--no feeling overcharged like I've experienced elsewhere. I'm already looking forward to my next appointment. If you have curly or textured hair and hate explaining yourself every time, book with Kelly. She's a 10/10 and I can't recommend her enough! Post Covid, my hair was so long and in such a sea hag state I was tempted to cut it all off. Ashley was my voice of reason and I went with a long layered bob style instead. I don't have the best beauty skill set and I also have tight spiral curls. Even with my deficiencies in daily styling, my cut is so good it just springs to life and looks great. I have learned in the past that not every stylist can cut spiral curls well. The other clients at this salon always leave looking great. They have a coffee and snack bar in the front and the business is attractive and clean.
