I've been here a few times, particularly in the summer due to the outdoor seating area offering a fab view of Newcastle Quayside. The Hub offers bike hire and repair facilities as well as providing fortnightly social bike rides! What draws me in is the fab little cafe as I'm a sucker for homemade cakes (yesterday's choice being the caramel shortbread)! Always served by friendly faces and although the service can be a little slow in peak times, it is worth the wait!

The chapters gather more heavily on the weekends. The cafe inside has a great selection of food and drinks! Sodas, waters, juices and even BEER! I had the "famous" bacon sandwich... Skeptical as always when people call something famous. It was really nice. Lovely fresh bread! The bacon came from a pig with a nice personality. I'm curious about the other food they offer. I dropped my mountain bike in for a service the other day and was told to come back in about an hour or to pop over to the Cafe whilst he got on with my bike & he would text me when it was ready to collect. True to his word, he text me about 45 minutes later as I was just finishing a coffee & snack to tell me my bike was ready to collect! My bike now runs as good as new & his prices for repairs & parts are very reasonable indeed! Well recommended!! Thank-you!
