The team is so professional and they were right on time and so helpful. I know it is a premium price, but they were very prompt in scheduling and very thorough in explaining everything they had to do for me. We were told in October 2020 that the first date they had available for service/repair was February 4th 2021. We brought our motor home to them in February with a list of repairs etc.....somethings had been previously worked on by Stratton by still were not working correctly (the stairs for instance) Fast forward to April 2021 and we STILL do not have our motor home back! They never even looked at it until the end of March despite reminder/check up calls from us. We told them of a planned beach trip (4/12-4/16) but they did not expedite the parts etc..... So now we have no motor home and no vacation! Extremely unhappy with Stratton RV service. We will not be back. read more

We bought our 2018 Entegra Esteem in CA/AR, July 2019 in Arizona. We also bought several (extra) and extended warrantees covering the engine, tires, widows, paint, service. The number of RV-warranty businesses were many on the western part of the U.S., but decrease the further east we went. We now live in Charlotte, North Carolina. There were only a couple of 'registered' repair facilities which were on our 'preferred' list. One was 1 1/2 hr. away - Brown RV Superstore 30049 Hwy 151 Mckeeb, SC 29101; at the other, 1/2 hr away - Stratton RV service 2061 Mt. Gallon Rd. Rockhill SC 29732. In 2019 we took our RV to the 1 1/2 hr. facility to rectify some malfunctioning parts, covered by warranties. The service and repairs were exceptional. In July 2020 some other repairs, including body damage, were again needed. We chose the facility only 1/2 hr away for convenience sake. Our motor home was at Strattons for almost 6 months. With numerous phone calls, we were assured that ours would be next (completed in a few days). There were no update phone calls, no communication from Strattons. When we called inquiring about the delay, we were told that it had to do with insurance and/or 'part shipment'. While this is a legitimate reason, 6 months is far too long (again, we had no correspondence). It was not until we personally went to Strattons, that we were told that our motorhome would be done in about 2 wks. The lack of communication is either ignorance of the process, incompetence or dishonestly. We normally do not write negative reviews, but we believe that this one is warranted. I had fluids on my driveway under the engine of my Class B RV. I assumed some part of the engine was leaking fluids. The fluid looked a little green and felt a little slippery when I touched it. I am not a mechanic, so I told Stratten I thought it was transmission fluid. Without investigating where the leak was coming from, the Stratten mechanics proceeded to replace a transmission O-ring and filter for $749. Two months later I had the same fluid on my driveway. Because I forgot that Stratten had already fixed what I thought was a transmission leak, I ignorantly let Stratten's mechanics replace a transmission plug for $423. Again, Stratten's mechanics did no leak test. 1 month later, I again found the same fluid on my driveway. Rather than wasting more money at Stratten, I emailed and called the owner. The owner never returned my calls or emails. Finally after 2-3 attempts to talk to the owner, I spoke to the service representative, Jim. Jim is a very nice man, but, his loyalties are with the owner as expected. He refused to let me speak with the owner. He refused to reimburse me for either transmission leak repairs. Jim said he wanted to make it right and do free labor for any other problem I had. I had just failed the NC State Inspection for the brake lights not working. When Jim told me the brake lights were fixed, I came in and checked it. I could not see the brake lights come on. Jim said the lights were on, but, it was hard to see, because of the sunlight. So I believed Jim and took my RV back to the NC auto inspector. The brake lights still failed. The state car inspector had time to check out the brake lights for me. The problem with the brake lights was that one of the bulb was the wrong type. The state inspector replaced the bulb and the brake lights worked fine. As for the possible transmission leak from my Class B RV, there were never any fluids leaking from the RV. The fluids on my driveway were from my car that was parked in the same location a few hours earlier both times to hook up my motorcycle trailer. The leak was from my car's engine coolant system, not the RV. My suggestion to potential customers of Stratten RV is to question any work Stratten does on your engine or electrical systems. Make sure they verify there is a problem rather than simply replacing everything randomly because you told them you THINK it might be something that it is not. They charge $129/hr for labor, so they should have knowledgeable people to verify what is actually wrong. Myself, I will never take any business to Stratten ever again. read more

Our Solitude 380fl needed service twice in the Charlotte area and we hired Stratton RV for the work. They did excellent work and were always responsive when needed. The most significant was a Norcold 2118x fridge replacement under warranty which they did in less than a full day to get us back in the unit since we are full timers. They have an expansive facility and all their folks seem to show great customer service attitudes. We highly recommend them for your RV Service work. Had them out over a month ago to fix a water leak and fix hot eater heater. They told me part would need to be ordered shouldn't take more than a couple days. Informed them no problem I know how supply chains are right now so just let me know. That was on March 1 2022. Today is April 5th after about 15 calls to them I finally got a voicemail this morning about how they can't find it good luck. Meanwhile the water is still leaking and they don't answer phone calls if they know the number. Company is bullshit read more

We were parked at a friend's house after having driven from California for a visit. After a few days, our five-week old Coleman Mack PS 3 rooftop air conditioner stopped cooling. We went through every diagnostic we could think of (because of a very tight budget), but finally bowed to the reality that we needed to have a professional take a look at it, since South Carolina in July is no place to be without an A/C! James was able to fit us in the next day (a Friday!). Keith was able to diagnose the problem (a sensor that keeps the compressor from freezing), install the new $13 part, and test it, all in only an hour. I am filing this complaint in reference to overcharging on labor cost & charging me for products I have already bought prior to hiring Stratton RV service to install. I had purchased all of the products I wanted installed on my 5th wheel camper, I will include those products & costs as attachments. When I had called & talked to Mr Stratton he advised it would cost anywhere from $600 to $800 for the products.  I thought he was talking about that was the cost for install.  We had settled on $650. Again, I assumed that was install cost. I also discussed installing a soft start on the air conditioner, backup camera & looking at the waste valve assemblies. Mr Stratton never discussed anything more about cost.  I assumed that the $650 was for install of all the products & possibly more money for the waste valves that Stratton RV provided.  I was never given an estimate in writing or verbally. I had spoken to other folks about their cost of installation of these products on their campers & general prices I got from them were about $1500 to $1800. I was prepared to pay these amounts. It took 3 days for the RV techs to finish the install. On Dec 13th they presented me the bill of $4010.38. I sat down and began to cry. I had the techs call Mr Stratton. I said I didn't think the $650 was for parts I had already bought and paid for! I told him he needed to take that off. He said he would only take off $460.38 for the total bill to be $3550.00.  I was still crying profusely & the techs said they would not leave until payment was rendered. I paid $124.80 to a different area RV service to take a look at the install that Stratton RV had done & give me his estimate of what he would have charged for the install. During his viewing of the bill From Stratton RV he pointed out the left top part of bill.  He asked if i had seen this before they presented me the bill. I replied "no".  Upon his further inspection of the bill, he pointed out that the 5.50 hrs by Thomas & Rick was charged incorrectly. 5.50 hrs @ $139= $764.50 instead of $1146.00 that is an overcharge of $381.50. 2nd RV service also advised he would not have put the inverter box in my living space. During Jerry's (Stratton RV)install he incorrectly cut my electrical cord the wrong size. He had to recut the cord again shortening my cord even more but I was not compensated for his mistake. He advised he had to read the instructions as he had never installed an inverter this big. I had also provided the wood needed to install the inverter into my living space & wood to install the battery monitor. There is no time documentation of their actual time presented. The techs did not have the tools needed to do the job & had to run to Lowe's for the part, pick up lunch & return.  I am sure I was charged for the hourly labor cost on that for 2 techs. (Thomas & Ric). Stratton Techs advised when they presented the bill that they knew I would be upset about the bill.  One tech advised he just bought a truck for $3500. They said they would not leave the premises unless payment was rendered.  I had them call Mr Stratton, I was crying profusely during my conversation with the techs and Mr Stratton on the phone.  He was abrupt with me and said he would only come down to $3550.00.  I was very upset about the $650 charged for products I had already bought and paid for.  I paid with my credit card only to avoid police being called to the property as I am staying on a friend's property right now in my camper. I didn't want them to come and harass them after I had left. I would like the Stratton RV company to return $2000 to me.  I believe I was way overcharged especially after the estimate from the 2nd RV Service which his estimate was $1547.96.  I have called several services and they all know the Stratton RV Company. They all know of the price practices. One company advised they even worked with Stratton for a couple weeks and after they saw how much they were price gouging customers they quit.  His exact words were " I was so disgusted at the price raping that was going on that I quit!" If it is known in the business community of this company's practices, then I would like to pay the fair price and receive the $2000 back. read more

I've had Stratton RV Service come out for 2 service calls. Their techs were great repairing my issues but their pricing is sky high. $175 just to come out plus very high hourly charges. read more

Not the best work. Had to have my step fixed. Charged me got it home wasn't fixed. Had roof repaired, Used it once it was fine. Next time, I look up while I'm driving and its coming off the top. Had an awning put on my slide. Asked what in would cost twice they said about $300.00. A little later while they are putting it on, its more then $700.00. I never get a call back, I have to keep calling them. Don't know what else to tell you. read more
