I found the Days Inn on booking.com and decided the price was decent and it looked like a good enough room for us to stay in. We arrived at about 5:30 and check in was super simple. They had all our information and ready to go, just had to sign and get the keys. They placed us on the 4th floor, which was the top. Very nice! We were right close to the elevator as well, which with 3 kids, is nice to not have to haul everything down a long hallway to a room. The room was clean, didn't smell and was fully stocked. I requested a crib for my 18 month old and it was brought to my room right away. The shower was nice, good pressure and stayed warm. Plenty of towels for the whole family and some soap for washing our hands and if we forgot shampoo/conditioner. We went to bed fairly early since we were up early that day and wanted to be up early the following day. The noise level was non-existent. we couldn't hear our neighbors and hopefully they couldn't hear us. We went down to the included breakfast in the morning. There were a lot of options. Cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagels, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, coffee, juice, waffles, etc. It wasn't bad tasting and it was replenished quickly. I was quite impressed. They also had high chairs for little ones which was nice to see. After breakfast we checked out the pool for an hour before we hit the road. The pool was big. There was a slide that our kids loved. They really enjoyed going down the slide. Also a hot tub that had a timer on it for the jets. This was a nice little pool area if you are staying for a bit. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who needs to travel that way. Very impressed.

The rooms are adequate in size, with a mini kitchenette that has a fridge, microwave and kettle/Keurig. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast buffet in the morning will cater to most appetites and tastes. As mentioned, the pool is great, being a decent enough size that you can get a proper swim in if so desired, as well as the water slide. The slide is a fair length, even going outside the hotel before curving back in. My son absolutely loved it. Although they provide breakfast, there's no restaurant in the hotel. However, there is a Boston Pizza and Irish Pub within the same parking lot, which provide decent food and a 10% discount if you show your room key. If we ever go back to Drumheller, I will definitely stay here again.

He was nice but clearly wasn't prepared check ins and could use some more training

Check in was smooth and the staff has been very friendly. (Is that a Canadian thing?) The bathroom is large, clean and it was hard for me to pry myself away from the warm shower. The tv has lots of options to watch, but I fell asleep quickly on a firm but very comfy mattress. We like free breakfast, and there is a nice combination of warm and cold options. If there are scrambled eggs and make-your-own waffles, it's a good day. Very close to drugstore and several fast food restaurants. Only downside, sound and light easily bleed through the door. I can hear my neighbors shower like they're in my own room. Otherwise, thumbs up for Lakeview.
