Charity has been doing my taxes for over 10 years. She is highly organized, professional and knowledgeable. When I have questions, she responds quickly and explains things thoroughly. I feel very comfortable referring my family and friends to Charity; she always does an awesome job. Charity has also done a lot of work for me with some of the companies I have worked for. She's helped me navigate accounts in QuickBooks and is always detailed oriented in every aspect of her work. She is very proficient in all aspects of her profession and can help you with any concerns you may have. Charity is a great person; she's intelligent, helpful, and has taught me a lot. I always enjoy working with her, and I don't think she could ever be replaced. read more

We worked with SFR for about three years, and though the work was adequate, there was something very slippery about it. The staff kept changing, the costs dramatically increased (doubling during COVID), and Charity was a shadowy figure--never a clear communicator, never addressing questions forthrightly, and never once appearing so we could see her face on Zoom. During COVID, she encouraged her clients to apply for an ERC rebate on federal taxes. The stickler was that she required an upfront payment of $5k, and she said we would be eligible for $15k. I later found that the IRS explicitly warned people not to pay upfront for this rebate. In the event, it took over 2 years for us to get the ERC, and it was for about $7.5k. In other words, SFR took about 70% of the payment, and we got 30%. Nice work when you can get it. She also continued to charge us a full accounting fee for our business when our revenue dried up and never once suggested we put the business on pause or instead become an S-corp. We were actually spending more on accounting than we were getting in revenue. Later, when we had to wind down the business, no one replied to our emails, and our Quickbooks was still linked to them. We actually couldn't download transactions as a result. We felt like their captive. Eventually, we extricated ourselves with no help from them. She is definitely looking out for number one, and you are most definitely not number one. Hard pass. read more

Thanks for doing my taxes for the past 10 years! Always professional, reliable, and on top of everything. Highly recommended!

I contacted SFR in hopes they could assist me with my large tax bill I had found myself with. I attempted to file on my own and I was devastated with the results. I was given Charity's name and I reached out early January in hopes to secure an appointment. Charity was wonderful. She was attentive and communicated wonderfully. It was appearing I was going to in fact owe the IRS lots. But Charity assured me she would guide me to the best optional place and I felt I was in good hands. Well little did I know, with her dedication and effort to knowing all things legal and current, I ended up not only not owing but getting a return! Absolutely life changing for my family. 100% worth any fee charged. Regardless of outcome. read more

In addition, she's helped me set up a 401K for my business, helped me save money on my personal taxes and my corporate taxes. Thank you so much Charity!! Love working with you!! read more

Charity at Strategic Financial is the partner you need to be successful. She is always up on the latest in best practices, she sends me updates of things she gleans from her important "keeping up" in her industry as it applies to my business. She uses technology well, I particularly like her ability to quickly jump on a go to meeting with me and look at what I am looking at, it allows us to be collaborative. She is my financial educator, really, its sad that I need one but really think about all you know about financial literacy, she will help you think about more than just earn as much money as possible and save some. She is my Financial accountability person, she nudges me with little weekly reminders about the goals I established for myself and shares with me my progress or lack of progress on meeting my defined goals. When I let her, Charity is going to help me reach those goals. Working with Strategic Financial Reporting gives me the power to take my intentions of being mindful with my financial choices and put that into action. (It has also allowed me to see exactly how little I am doing mindfully and purposefully - wow, a big eye opener, but hey, having your eyes open is good.) I would recommend Strategic Financial Reporting to anyone looking to reach a new level of performance in their personal or business financial goals read more
