These guys work as a team to get the job done with a great attitude and actually have fun making the projects work. Painting is 80% prep and 20% painting, these guys are masters at both. If you want results you'll love, go with Dewey. Here's an example of those results:

We got an estimate from Dewey's & Son to paint our house interior & exterior plus matching the…read moretexure that was missing from some areas. We liked their estimate and decided to hire them for the job. 1st problem was they asked us to clear everything away from all the walls so they can start the work on Monday, we did. However no one showed up, when I called Mike the owner Monday afternoon to find out if they were still going to take the job, he told me their last job took longer they would come tomorrow, which is understandable, I would have been okay with that as long as he informed us before hand. 2nd, he has about 5 or 6 employees who were for the most part polite, however one of them got rowdy with my wife. However later he apologized to her for his behavier. 3rd, halfway through the job he told my wife that they were going to stop working unless we paid him extra for the texture, although verbally he had told us it was part of the job, at this time I was out of town and my wife called me with this news, when I called Mike to see what the problem was, he told me we're texturing the entire interior, not just patches I asked how much more, he said $500, I agreed to pay, they finished the job. Once the job was close to be done after almost a month he gave a bill for an additional $4000 when I confronted him, he said $500 was for partial texture but we did the entire house. I didn't want him to put a lean on my house and also don't have the time to persu legal actions , I ended up paying him about $3500 extra. By the way his employees were smelling like pot, I'm sure they were high when they were working. When they were painting, I had to constantly watch them, because they were forgetting to paint some areas, overspending one color on top of others, and much more All and all they lie to your face and the job is shotty, very unprofessional, It was an absolute nightmare dealing with them. I have owned several homes in my lifetime and dealt with many contractors, painters, roofers, plumbers and roofers, I have never had to deal with any company this horrible. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM, on the contrary "DO NOT HIRE THIS PEOPLE", YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO!!!!

Charlie Mc Nabb came to my house to see the simple paint job in one room and a couple "handyman"…read morethings. We talked about painting my bedroom, and he did not have much to say at all. We discussed my small bathroom. I asked him what to do about storage in my tiny bath, he told me to "get an over-the-toilet cabinet". I tried to explain that they don't have space for a full size hair dryer, a can of lysol, etc. (I've had those cabinets before) I said, "You are a contractor, right?" He said, "Yes." Charlie, at that point said, "Look, I don't want to do this job." Then he left without another word. I was stunned. I cannot imagine a more unprofessional person than Charlie Mc Nabb. I would think that a contractor would have a few more creative ideas other than "putting a wall-shelf over the toilet". But, the way Charlie just said, "I'm not doing this, goodbye", was very very strange, and in my opinion, very unprofessional. I don't think he should be listed as a contractor. when Charlie himself told me, "I'm just a painter". (Yet he told me he was a contractor...) I wonder if I had told Charlie that my budget for painting my room and fixing some things in the bath, like a water filter to soften the water just on they shower heads (Charlie said he knew NOTHING about water filters on shower heads), was $11,000. Would Charlie have been a little more professional perhaps? I don't know. I dare say that he would remain ignorant of simple contracting logistics though. I would not recommend this person.
