It turns out that what we wanted -…read moreblacklight-reactive carpet - is generally not used for homes, so the producers of those kinds of carpets expect you to buy a massive roll (since they expect it to be used for large commercial arcades, bowling alleys, etc). We went to Millenia Carpet and they went above and beyond for us, calling the manufacturers until they found one who had a partial roll left over from another project. Our room is so long that they had to piece the carpet together to create our 40' by 3' carpet runner, and despite it being a visually busy pattern with a bunch of different colors, they did so good piecing it together, I can't even tell where the join is. The binding is a quality job. The owners (it's a family-owned business) were friendly and easy to work with.
