I rememeber my grandfather taking me totheir old store as a child, such good memories. Very friendly and knowledgable service staff, good prices and just a great way to spend some time geeking out on projects, etc. One great thing I found in the bird (chicks, ducks, etc.) department is a sign that read "Bird's are cute, but are living things and require the correct care, please use discretion and responsibility in buying birds" That says a LOT in my book. I gotta love a place I can get a new wardrobe, a toilet and beef jerky!

I've been there when it's busy and trying to find something, and while it make take a bit, people are always helpful. For the most part, when I'm looking for something, I tend to know which part of the store I'm going to, when I have questions, say in the plumbing department, the knowledge has been excellent. Like all places, prices can be more for somethings and better on others. Personally, I prefer L&M over the Home Depot. Ignore the one star reviews and only negative review posters, this is really a gem of a place.
