The whole back of the house is glass and our wildlife friendly garden is full of birds. Ahem. Enter the Edinbirgh Gutter Cleaning Company. I've seen professionals cleaning windows before but I always assumed that it wouldn't be affordable to get our mega glass bonanza cleaned. I am so so so so glad I asked Paul for a quote because wow was I wrong. Not only was was it so incredibly affordable but ohmygoodness was it such a better job than we have ever *ever* done ourselves. Paul said he would arrive at lunch time and that it would take about an hour. He arrived bang on 12 and took 57 minutes. It was no fuss, and he ended with a bit of banter with The Man as well as explaining that the remaining marks on the windows were glue from the installation process, saying that next time he would bring a tool to get that off. The Man, who has been known to never pay anyone for a job he can do himself, spent the rest of the day making comments like "look, you can see the garden!" and "look at them glisten!" (I'm not exaggerating, he actually said that). His delight with the results trumps his inner cheapskate, which is serious praise. Thank you so much, Edinburgh Gutter Cleaning Company. I will happily never clean a window again ;)

Sorry to say they were very poor in my experience. Had them booked for a weekday afternoon service…read morecall. They didn't turn-up and only phoned me at 5pm to say they were't coming, after I'd taken a half day from work. Then they arranged a weekend visit instead and didn't turn-up for that either, so I waited in all day for nothing. I understand that jobs over-run sometimes, but the lack of communication was really poor and two missed visits doesn't inspire confidence. Edit: Marie did phone me at 4pm on Saturday and assured me an engineer would visit next Saturday at 9am without fail. Edit 28/11: It's 9.30am Saturday and the engineer isn't here. If I had a complaining customer and I'd promised that an engineer would attend by a certain time, I'd ensure they were on time. Late and no call. Very, very poor.
