Vehicle was towed on a flatbed and driver has the client ride in the disabled vehicle?! On the highway, and on the freeway, for 50 miles no less. Unbelievable. Driver would not allow in the cab and was not informed of this until after a 2hr 40min wait for the driver to arrive, and after the vehicle was already put on the flatbed. Always have ridden in the cab with the driver. How is this even legal? read more

I called this place on behalf of my sister-in-law who was stuck on 71 with a horse and trailer and two little girls. The man I spoke to was first rude to me on the phone, explaining what it would involve to help my sister-in-law, as if he was bothered by the phone call in the first place. Then rude to her on the phone as well. No one cares to help people in an emergency anymore even when they're getting paid for it. read more

I had a very good experience with Stotz's Towing out of Wickenburg, AZ. On a very hot triple-digit day, I got stuck in a wash on an unnamed dirt road in Congress, AZ. After hours of hassling with my Roadside Assistance service, I decided to pay out-of-pocket. A Stotz's Towing truck was able to find me, and a very polite and considerate driver offered me a bottle of water. He quickly got my vehicle out of the wash, and I didn't have to stand in the blistering sun for very long. I wanted to pay cash instead of paying a credit card fee, but I didn't have the cash. The extremely nice driver followed me to the highway where there was an ATM. I am a happy customer. read more

I wouldn't even give this place one star, but I had to to post a review. I did not have service from this place, and never will after what a driver and the dispatcher did to me today. I was on my way home from the Phoenix Childrens Hospital today as my daughter just got done with outpatient surgery, this STOTZ driver pulled out from the Ford dealership and straight out in front of me, with a car on the bed of his tow truck, causing me to slam on my breaks and swerve almost hitting the 18 wheeler next to me. When I was clear to get in front of the 18 Wheeler, I got over and got up along the side of the tow driver and honked at him. The tow driver proceeded to wave at me then flip me off. At this point, I decided I'm now not letting this go and I'm turning him into management. I followed him through old town Wickenburg and at the red light, I got along side of him again and snapped a picture. I call dispatch and when dispatch gets on the phone, I tell them, "I have a complaint about one of their drivers." Dispatch then tells me with and attitude raising his voice at me, "Yeah, my driver already called in and told me you were driving like a nut. He got it all on video and you're a f**king c**t for driving like that! You could have caused an accident!" I was totally blown away by the way he was talking to me! I responded back asking, "Are you serious??!! Your driver just pulled out in front of me from of a turning lane causing me to slam on my brakes so hard I swerved almost hitting the truck to my right!" And then dispatch hung up on me. read more

We locked our keys in our car and called Stotz for help. When they found out that we were about two blocks on a dirt road they REFUSED to come out. They said they didn't want to get their truck dirty !!! Not the kind of folks that make it easy to do business with. Especially in a small town. We eventually called another outfit and they were willing and able to assist us and had us back on the road for $75 and a thank you. Let Stotz stay at home polishing his trucks. read more

Don't know about the Chuck(s?), but AAA dispatched Stotz on my breakdown and the service was prompt, professional and courteous. Flatbed all the way back to the house, and deposited right in the garage. Only needed a tow twice in my 40 years of driving, but wouldn't hesitate to call this one again if in their area. Called AAA last night to help get my vehicle removed from a sand wash it was stuck in. They dispatched Stotz to come get me, whom told me they couldn't bring out the 2WD truck that AAA contracts since I was on a dirt road. Which is perfectly fine to me, I asked them if they had a 4x4 they could bring out, upon which I was told $180 cash up front. Well, I'm in the middle of the desert and don't have cash. Asked if they'd take payment over the phone and they laughed and refused. I continued to ask what other solutions there may be as I can't get to town to get cash. They continually ignored me, playing off the fact I was in a bad service area leaving me to listen to nothing. I offered them to take my car to their lot and I'll bring them cash in exchange for my car getting back to me. Laughed again. I'm pretty upset at this point, asked them to help me and the laughed and suggested another company that provides extraction services, but refused to give me their number. Told me they can't google the number and I asked, practically begging, for them to pull out their phone and google the number for me since I barely even had enough service to call, I didn't have any internet service to google another company. The call ended with them hanging up on me after saying "Oh yeah? I'll go ahead and google them for you." Laughing, then click. I would never recommend this company to anyone. It's just an unprofessional father and son duo that'll mock you over the phone then refuse service. Found out later from another person in town that they just don't like extracting cars, so they'll bitch about it for 20 minutes to you over the phone and still refuse service. I hope to see them removed from the AAA service and they no longer "provide" extraction services because they won't do them in the first place unless you have an outrageous amount of cash on hand. read more

WORSE TOW COMPANY EVER... showed up 20 minutes early compared to AAA text alert. Passed 2 miles from car went to flag driver down and he was extremely rude and wouldnt turn around to pick us up. Me and my 8 yr daughter... then called rudely and said sorry cant come back... waited 75 minutes to be left on the side of the road. Been with AAA FOR 23 yrs. Never once had a problem until today... in 40 degree weather.This company should not be associated with AAA they are way better then this... I'am a bad situation on the side of the road, it's what I pay AAA for, for 23 yrs out of my hard earned money... read more

Vehicle was disabled and towed to this horrific place due to an unfortunate circumstance with my 70 year old father that has dementia! I am the legal owner of this vehicle (for 14 years) and this guy attempted to make it impossible for me to recover my truck! Numerous phone call from me, AAA, and even the district attorneys office! He would hang up mid conversation! I drove across 2 states to recover this vehicle, and he left the office knowing I was expected there within minutes! He even attempted to try blocking AAA from towing truck my free 300/mile tow (that didn't work either). He so badly wanted to put a lien on this truck, take ownership and sell it in front of his beat down business (he had other cars for sale right out front, like a dumpy sled lot)! Its apparent this is how this loser makes a living in this 1 horse town! Profiting from other misfortune! PURE EVIL, at best! He even went as far as to file a lien with AZ DMV. The DMV girl called and disciplined him for a false file! Needless to say good prevails, and Karma is a B-word! MAKE SURE TO READ THE FILTERED REVIEWS!! IF YOU ARE A AAA MEMBER, MAKE SURE TO REQUEST A DIFFERENT TOW COMPANY! But last I heard, AAA was pulling stotz towing contract anyway!! Just saying! read more

Very unprofessional!! AAA called them for us. Driver asked for 40$ more than was quoted by AAA! Told us that we had a choice either to pay the $40 extra or he would leave and we could find another tow company ! The tow company is the only one within this area!! AAA fought for us with owner and driver all while my son and I were standing in 100* heat. Stotz towing you should be ashamed of yourself and the behavior of your driver. I was pulling out of Lake Pleasant today, with my 4 year old son in the back seat and my nephew in the seat next to me who took a photo of the truck, when this JERK from Stoz Towing road my butt all the same from the entrance to the lake to just before the turnoff to head back to Phoenix. But, not before riding my bumper and flashing his light several times at me. We were driving on a one lane (going west) road, but he didn't seem to care because he not only passed ME, but also the vehicle in front of me. The worst part about it...... he passed us BOTH on a double yellow line AND a left turn lane, which he did not turn left, he pulled in front of myself and the vehicle in front of me. He proceeded to speed to his turn off, WITH a vehicle he was towing on his flatbed. I was very tempted to call the cops when he continued to flash his lights and ride my bumper. I do not recommend anyone doing business with this company. They not only put myself and my passengers lives at risk, but they were very careless with the vehicle in tow. read more
