Recently the…read morebasement has been taken over by the Post Office and that really is the main thing down there, useful if you need stamps or currency, but a lot of the older Post Office customers struggle with the stairs or waiting for the lift. They do stock a full range of magazines and have an ordering service, which can be useful. Books and DVDs tend to moved around depending upon the season, although the majority of books are on the first floor. They do have an ordering service if your required item is not stocked.

They also sell Xmas cards pretty cheap (10 for £1 sometimes!) and other cards, wrap and gift bags. They stock a good range of artists supplies including paints, pads, pencils and specialist books. They recently had some brilliant cheap wooden musical toys and floor sized jigsaws which are perfect for Xmas. It is quite a narrow long shop and can be difficult to get around with a buggy especially at busy times.
