I was so tempted to buy one of the hats because it reminded me of one my grandma used to wear. In some shops, it can seem like the dust takes over and diminishes the fun in searching. That didn't seem to be the case here. I noticed plenty of tables and chairs and general knicknacks and all were in great shape and I didn't feel like I had dust and dirt clinging to my hands when I left. The owners were sharing a laugh about not "seeing" everything because they look at it every day; so, if someone asks for something specific they draw a blank. I get it and I'm not working in an antique store. Welcome to normal.

For finding supplies for a personal project, unique special items made by locals, Flying Eagle will likely have it. Art and craft supplies, framing pieces, water colors, pencils, paper, beads and string for jewelry, art, Native American products, and much more, even touristy things. There were some beautiful photographs of Native American dancers, and some Navajo herbal remedies. And just because they can, there's a small selection of candy and bottled drinks. Flying Eagle doesn't leave out gamers. They carry Warhammer, several of them. I thought I overheard the owner tell another customer they have game times. That's just one of the community events they sponsor, too. Art and painting contests are held from time to time also. She and her cousin Jacquie (who works with her) have wonderful ideas and eyes for color and patterns. Jacquie helped me find a selection of fabrics for a project that I have yet to finish.
