Talk about a peaceful place , my goodness nature at its finest…read more The campground is pristine, spacious, full of nature sounds , wild life & water flowing. The camp host Loren... best camp host ever! He creates a super chill and friendly vibe, always there when you need fire wood , a good conversation, knows all about the surrounding area and is full of knowledge & hospitality. We are repeat guests , he makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this delightful spot to take some time and detach & find your center .. Please don't pollute!! Keep it beautiful. Pack in & pack out thank you Loren!

It's pretty cool in the sense that on a good day, a 90-minute drive from Phoenix can make you feel…read moremuch further away than you actually are. Just don't expect a complete change of scenery. This is "high desert", which basically means it's the same old scenery, but more shrubs because it's a good 15 degrees cooler. You are not entirely escaping the summer heat, so if you're that sensitive, move further north. The campground itself is pretty boring. There's not enough open space to do much of anything but sit around and stare into the distance. It is also relatively flat, with no real hiking trails. If you like walking up tall things or participating in open-field sports like soccer and flag football, you will be disappointed. What's cool about this is the stream that flows through. It was 100 degrees out, but suddenly manageable as long as you sat next to the surprisingly cold water under plenty of shade. Walk a little bit upstream and downhill and you'll come across a shallow watering hole that appears to be the main attraction. But if you walk a good mile upstream, braving the terrible, terrible footing that is the seemingly endless off-trail pathway of large rocks, you will be rewarded. There's another large area for swimming, and the majority of campers won't bother going there. At roughly 5 1/2 feet, it's perfect swimming for just about anyone. But yeah...that's cool, but about the only thing (besides making s'mores) you'll really do here. It was cool for a one-night, one-day getaway if you want everyone in your life to leave you alone.

The staff super helpful and welcoming. The bathrooms clean. Wifi is a bit sporadic-but we were her to unwind and unplug-so not an issue. We had a family emergency and had to leave after two nights-fully expecting to pay for the 8 days we had booked. Lovely hosts refunded our money assuring us they could rent it out easily. Can't wait to try this one again for a longer stay!

When booking we always list it as a Van because you can lie completely stretched in a conversion. Had been checked in for aleast 4 hrs. Many maintenance and front desk personnel came by during that time. Not one of them said that we were doing anything wrong. Right after 5 pm the lady that checked us in. Came racing up to our site loudly shouting that we were breaking City Code. Confused we were told we had to check out first thing in the morning. Making all the other campers aware around us. She treated us like we were trying to stay without paying. Yelling we were breaking city code for camping in our SUV. Not sleeping on the ground or in a tent. They should just clearly state on their website no Conversion vehicles.. So they don't lie about City Code. This is their Preference not Code. ( Which is their right ) But don't mislead people with your vague website. Then leave people to scramble in the middle of their vacation There's a copy of the Code below it's not illegal to camp in a car or tent or anything if it's within a private campground. THEY RESERVE THE RIGHT TO KICK YOU OUT IF AND WHEN THEY WANT TO. They get away with this treatment because of their location. They have a resort attitude. But mind you this park is old built in the 50's - 60's. Just patched up not renovated at all. If you like being treated rudely and have to be in your rig by 10pm not excuses. Run down moldy bathrooms. Then this is the place for you. Don't waste your time or money

The size, cleanliness, location, and amenities checked all the boxes. The resort has a direct view of Tuzigoot Nat'l Monument with beautiful views of the Verde Valley and red rocks in the distance. The owners live on property and very accessible (if/when needed). We never see trash, or hear dogs bark (for hours on end), There is a very small fitness room though it's rarely used, I've found it perfect for what I need. The laundry room is clean and the office makes available rolls of quarters for purchase, which is a nice convenience. There are several (gender specific) large restrooms with large showers inside. All kept immaculate. This location checked all the boxes for our winter home! Located within minutes from Cottonwood's charming and lively historical downtown and Clarkdale's historical downtown, it was ideal. This area is surrounded by a vibrant music scene, great restaurants, and an abundant amount of outdoor activities! We have met the nicest people who are predominantly repeat visitors, which has confirmed what we feel about this place. It's such a gem! No wonder we have already reserved our space for next year as many of our new friends have done as well!

It poured the whole first night but second night weather was lovely. We spent our days fishing and caught a lee bass. (Beware fishing line graveyard in the trees, they will eat your supplies!!) Campgrounds are as beautiful as I remembered! The bathrooms/facilities are well kept, and you can request electric + water at your campsite. If you are afraid of the kiddos, know there's a lot of them scampering around these parts!! Also shoutout Lisa (I believe is her name), who jumped our car on the way out. You saved our cheeks! Bonus points for the friendly felines that can be seen up towards the front- they have kitties that sometimes come say hi!! Can't wait to stay again, thank u friends!

The reservation staff handled this modification without issue. Be sure to fully understand the cancelation policy. Numerous reviews about the nightmare. Upon arrival, there was a slight misunderstanding, but it was quickly resolved. The location is picturesque, featuring tall trees, a serene pond, and a running creek, along with amenities not typically found at other campgrounds, such as a swimming pool, laundry facilities, showers, and a playground for children. The creek was the highlight of our trip. However, let's not overlook the reality we faced: with the hefty price tag for this slice of paradise, a few upgrades wouldn't go amiss. Our cabin's air conditioner was so loud it sounded like a jet engine preparing for takeoff, making family conversations feel more like a yelling match. There are some spider webs in the cabin. I don't mind them, but they might freak someone else out! We rented the small cabin which had a toilet which was an absolute plus. The cabin bed/mat's could use an upgrade. We just brought our air mats. They worked fine. The loft bed was comfortable according to my teen. So, the only WiFi was by the clubhouse, which I was totally fine with. Every now and then, I'd get a text coming through while inside the cabin. Very spotty. We brought our pups along and made sure they were on their best behavior since the rules said no warnings for noisy dogs--if they barked too much, guests would be asked to leave. Oddly alot of dogs barked, which is ok in my book. There's also a cute little store on-site for all the essentials and some snacks! Great location, just about 30min to nearby Sedona or Cottonwood. In summary, a beautiful escapade with a few quirks, just enough to keep us entertained and on our toes! I've read multiple reviews of the staff. We're fortunate not to have a bad experience.
