When Sara cut my hair the 4th time it was styled, but had odd long pieces that I couldn't fit into anything. Not sure what that was). The last time she cut it very short even though I was clear I didn't want her to. This cut is not styled. Not to complain constantly, but if you buy a product from the salon the tip is calculated with the product included. This comes out to around an extra $20. I wanted to adjust it. Sara appeared angry, I'm a people pleaser, so I went along. Not sure if the other stylists do this. Sara does. Be careful. This is a real shame as the salon is part of my neighborhood. I have extremely difficult hair to cut - fine and straight, and several scalp scars (from all the knife fights, and prison...), and didn't think an expensive haircut would be any better than Great Clips. But as much as it pains me to say, sometimes you get what you pay for, and this is true at Soge. I've been to Karen at Soge several times now, and I've been completely pleased with the results. My angelpumpkin has turned over creative control of her own hair to Karen for years. They also sell several hair care products from Bumble & Bumble and Prive - these salon products are completely foreign to me as a barbershop patron but some of you may recognize them. As an added bonus, they always have a copy of the NYT available for your reading pleasure while you're waiting. The location is a little out of the way in greater Decatur, but worth the trip for me at least...

When you arrive, you'll register at the front desk (first visit) and check in on future visits. The property is stunning--ample parking, valet service, a Starbucks, a movie theater, fruit-infused water stations, a pool, a saltwater pool, a heated elevation treadmill pool (my first experience here), a Zen room, a sauna... the list goes on. Everything is spotless and well-maintained. The hydrotherapy with Marcy is always a treat--the water is crystal clear, the atmosphere relaxing, and the benefits are incredible. But here's the kicker--and the reason I had to write this review--you can actually sign up to use the facility's amenities for just $50 a month! That's right: pool access, sauna, gym, and more (classes with Marcy are separate) for less than what some gyms charge just for basic equipment.
