In addition, although I don't need the hardcore camping and hiking equipment, they do have a large selection of shoes, shirts, hats, beanies, pants, etc. that an indoorsman like me (lol) will find useful. What I also thought was cool was that they offer some classes like "Camping Basics" and "How to Pack a Backpack." While some of these classes cost $50 for non-members, others are free and open to the public. Lastly, I loved their selection of dog equipment, which I could definitely see myself coming back for, as they had a few items that I haven't even seen at stores like PetSmart or Petco. All-in-all, REI's a really fun store, which I think that anybody, regardless of experience level, can visit and enjoy!

Price can be on the high end, but it makes up in quality and service with their return policy. --Capacity-- The store is huge. We popped in specifically to check out their selection of "throw back" candies. I must admit I wasn't familiar with everything but they did have some fun finds from my childhood. The candy is weighed by the pound, so if you get too excited your tab will reflect your enjoyment.
