He also pointed out the areas to worry about on my roof. He then walked me through the process of filing a claim with my insurance company. After a month or so I finally heard back from my insurance company and was told they were only going to allow $750 in patch work. Owen Brown and his team told me not to worry and that they would mediate the matter with the insurance company. After a month or two passed they were able to get the WHOLE ROOF COVERED!! He and his team kept me informed throughout the whole process! I never felt pressured during any of our dealings. He took his time while I picked out shingles. I even got new gutters thrown in with the deal!! His team of roofers were quick, respectful and did a great job with cleanup ! To say I'm completely satisfied and grateful is an understatement!! We decided to go with AA Gutters for our gutter needs. Twice actually. I had them scheduled to install a guard on our metal garage. The techs are freaking awesome. He noticed a few things out of place and took care of it. They were in and out in no time. I've noticed they are sometimes booked out up to a couple of weeks out and it makes sense. They do an awesome job and provide great customer service from the receptionist, estimator and install crew!

This review is the same one as reviewed on Fortress Roofing, because Rain Relief Gutter Solutions…read more(Zane Gum, owner), John McGuire's Handyman Service, and Fortress Roofing all worked together to bilk me out of $90,000.00. We haven't been in a dry season so I don't know whether the Rain Relief Gutter Solutions are going to do as promised. I do know one down spout was not completed and Mr. Gum will not come back to fix it. So here's the other review. It covers all three businesses being in cahoots with each other. CAUTION!! READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW AND NOT GET SCAMMED AS I DID!! However police reports have been made and this situation is in the hands of the courts!! I had no direct contact with the owner of this company as they were a subcontractor of John McGuire Handyman's service. However, Mr. McGuire is not a licensed contractor in the state of Florida, and thus this was an illegal operation on Mr. McGuire's part. The same could be said of Zane Gum with Rain Relief Solutions for the gutter that was to be completed after the roof was complete. Mr. McGuire would not give me receipts or warranty, etc. for the roof, but when I contracted Fortress direct, Nicki promptly emailed me the paid receipt and warranty. Mr. Gum would not send the receipt and warranty saying I would have to get them from Mr. McGuire. When I received the paid receipt and warranty from Fortress, I realized that FRAUD was being perpetrated by all parties. For example, the roof receipt marked PAID IN FULL was for $27,175. My roof was completed with 25 year shingles by Owens Corning... I was told (and in the written estimate) they would be 50 year shingles. My estimate (from Mr. McGuire) notes 50 year shingles with each package of shingles costing $615 per package for a total of 76 packages for a total of $46,740.00. Plywood underlayment was priced at $283 per sheet for $6792.00. Replacement of a few fascia boards were priced at $15,159.00. They left a package of shingles with me. They were 25 year (not 50) shingles and a personal check at Lowe's at retail prices (not contractor prices) has each package of shingles at $45.00, plywood at anywhere from $15 - $55 per sheet depending on the thickness, fascia boards at $50-$120 depending on quality. Asked for $8,000.00 to get the permit for the roof from Clay County. That charge is actually in the $300 range! Overall I was charged, have the estimates and proof of payments (except from Zane Gum and Rain Relief Gutters, since no receipt or warranty was ever received. Also Mr. Gum refused to return to fix the one drain spout that was not attached to the drainage.) If you run the math as I have, and as has my attorneys, I was charged $90,000.00 for what should have been no more than $40,000.00 to $45,000.00. It is my personal belief that Mr. McGuire, Fortress Roofing and Rain Relief Gutters are in the FRAUD business, bilking as much as they can get senior citizens and primarily widows who have never had to deal with roofing costs before. The Sheriff's office is looking into not only my case, but other cases in North Florida. This will not end with me. There are other charges that I am due a refund from Mr. John McGuire. I've lost almost $60,000.00. I will not stop until I have been made whole and then can make it a mission to STOP this activity against senior citizens. I've been given the task to tell the truth, and post these 100% accurate reviews to warn the public of these actions. The one star was the lowest I could give, but it should have been a negative 10, but that was not an option. Be cautious and beware the roof and gutter FRAUDSTERS, especially with hurricane season upon us all. They are all in cahoots with each other. SHAMEFUL, but they obviously do not care!!

All American Gutter Protection sales process is like the old days of buying a used car. It starts…read moreout, for my 400 feet of gutters, at about $38 a foot ($15,000+) after about an hour of listening to how great the product is. Then the salesperson calls the manager and gets it down a bit hoping you bite. Then, about a week later, you will get a text message from some person sitting in an airconditioned office about how the sales person messed up and it is just under $20 a foot ($7,900). The salesperson was very nice and just doing his job the way he was trained to do. For companies like this, it could be $1 a foot and I would NEVER do business with All American Gutter Protection. It is a piece of Aluminum with screen that goes over the gutter. Even at $10 a foot, I could pay four people, $30 an hour for 6 hours to install, $720 for labor, $4,000 for product and we are at $4,720...still too much but at least in the ballpark. However, they try to get over $15,000 for a 400 foot project from people and that is absurd. The cover for gutters should NEVER cost more than the actual gutters themselves.

My two complaints and main reason I would never recommend this company is the salesman they sent to…read moremy house and the fact they are way overpriced. When I set up my appointment, they said it would take 20-30 minutes to look at our house and give us a quote. Well two hours later, the salesman was still going on about how we should sign today. The quote was $7,900 (far higher than anyone else). He then did the whole "let me call my manager and see if I can do you a favor." He then said he could it down to $5,900 but today only and we have to sign before he left. I was very clear from the beginning we were shopping around and making no decisions today. I think sending a pushy salesman is honestly what cost the sale for us completely. If you have a quality product with comparable prices, you don't have to pressure people that hard. I made it very clear we were not interested in signing today and finally he took a hint but also clearly annoyed with us...in our own home. As if he was the one offended. He was a good bit older than us so he had the condescending "you don't know what you're doing" type of attitude. Two days later we get another text from him, giving us another offer but only if we signed immediately and financed it through them. Again I wish companies would understand harassing people won't get you a deal- at least not here. Although their products looked nice & durable, we have decided to go with another company that has equally quality products but for less- and with much better professionals to work with. I'd advise not to waist two hours of your time for a pushy salesman & overpriced products.
