Babystore is a very traditional shop placed in Walsall Road next to other independent shops. As they are known as one of the largest ones in the country, which means you can find practically everything for your newborn and kids in early ages. I was quite impressed with the range of cribs and cot beds. Styles, colours and different sizes that would probably keep parents a bit busy and undecided to choose the perfect one. Delivery was free for orders over £50 and they promised next day delivery as standard (if the order was placed before 5pm on a week day) or Tuesday delivery if the order was placed at the weekend. I placed my order at around 4.30pm on a Friday and was pleasantly suprised to receive the items the next day around 1pm. Both items arrived in good condition and I was very happy with my purchase. She first asked whether this was our first child then proceded to insist that the car seat would be dangerous to the child and she tried to convince us to buy a new car seat using emotional and scare tactics. I have been to Mamas and Papas in Manchester and London and felt that the Nottingham branch were not as friendly or helpful. This maybe that the store is newly open. The ranges were not as extensive as other stores. However the store was not crowded and opens until late and the quality of the products is very good

I was put off by the staff and will not be giving them my custom again. I found them to be unfriendly & unhelpful, which surprised me. The store was also pretty much empty and I disliked being 'stalked' by a member of staff, who clearly thought I was going to run out of the store with items. It was a special visit for me as I was buying my first present for my first grandchild to be, and it was spoilt!

A little treasure trove of second hand (& some new) childrens items, they sell clothes for girls &…read moreboys at reasonable prices, and have a huge variation of toys. The shop itself is quite small so once there are a couple of customers (usually accompanied by buggies due to the nature of the shop) it can become very crammed, but if you can get in & have a good rummage you won't leave empty handed (I certainly never can!) This is not a charity shop, but a small business & works where donations are taken from members of the public who receive 40% of the sale price, so if you want to get rid of old clothes & toys as long as they are good brands & in good condition they may take them & try to sell them (although they can be very fussy!)
