I first met Tamara during my pregnancy with my son in 2023. I had previously experienced a hospital birth with my oldest daughter and knew I wanted something different for future pregnancies. I was considering a home birth but wasn't completely sure if it was the right choice for me. I actually met with Tamara before I had even chosen my midwife, and after our first conversation I felt so much more confident moving forward. Looking back, she played a huge role in giving me the confidence to pursue a home birth in the first place. Throughout both pregnancies, she checked in regularly, answered questions, shared helpful resources, and was always a source of encouragement and support. She is incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and has a calm, reassuring presence. During my son's home birth, Tamara was an invaluable part of our birth team. She provided both emotional and physical support, helped my husband feel more comfortable and confident in his role, and seemed to know exactly when to encourage, reassure, or simply be present. One of the things I appreciated most was that she didn't simply advocate for me, she taught me how to advocate for myself. She gave me the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions and communicate my wishes clearly. As an unexpected bonus, she also took photos during parts of my son's birth when time and circumstances allowed. Those pictures have become some of my most treasured photographs, and I will always be grateful that she captured those memories for our family. We also utilized her placenta encapsulation services, which she handled professionally and promptly. My second labor progressed so quickly that my daughter arrived before Tamara could make it to the birth itself, but I still consider her an important part of that experience because so much of the confidence and preparation I carried into that birth came from the foundation she helped build during my first home birth and throughout my second pregnancy. Tamara was amazing from our first meeting to our postpartum follow up. My goal was to have an unmedicated birth and because of Tamara's help I was able to make that goal a reality. She was with us every step of our prenatal, delivery and first 2 month postpartum! She was even great enough to bring us a postpartum meal. As many have said, where to even start? In short, the price was worth every penny. They are the last word in professional, knowledgeable aids. We had the honor, no, the privilege, to work next to Sydney for a very very short time. We came to the decision to hire a doula late, maybe 30-32 weeks into the journey and we received every cent of our money's worth. Sydney was quick to answer, forward and honest in her answers, and took to my many questions both with great fervor and understanding. We knew that every step of the way she was there to support us, lend us her expertise, and to stand bastion for us. She neither shirked nor shrank from the great task before her and words cannot ever express our thankfulness to her.
