From the time I arrived to the hotel, I received unprofessional service from the front desk representative, Morgan. She was unfriendly and somewhat rude when she spoke to me, during the check-in process. She never took the time to explain anything about the hotel's amenities, their cleaning service schedule, local restaurants and attractions, etc. Any hotel I've ever stayed at in the past, their front desk representatives have always shared that information with me as well as welcomed me to their hotel, inquired about whether I had stayed there before so they knew how to better assist me, and they would even take an interest as to the reason for my stay. I thought this was common professional etiquette from a hotel's front desk representatives, but apparently not when you're staying at the Hampton Inn! Although the room appeared neat, upon my arrival, the shower floor was dirty and remained that way the entire stay so I assume cleaning the shower isn't part of their cleaning protocol, which seems very unsanitary to me! Upon learning the cleaning service for the room was only done every other day, I requested mine be done daily. However, they never provided me with the daily cleaning service despite numerous phone calls to the front desk. During each call, I let them know that my room, once again, had trash and dirty towels along with an unmade bed, upon my return. The only thing calling the front desk did was cause another employee, Joe, to begin treating me rudely instead of actually fixing the cleaning problem. This was not how he treated me previously so it was somewhat of a surprise especially when I had complimented him to another employee, during one of the phone calls to the front desk. After seeing the change in his attitude, I decided to avoid dealing with the employees so that I wasn't treated even worse and to just get through my stay there! After I returned home, I emailed Hampton's Corporate Office with my complaints regarding the unprofessional service I received and the lack of cleaning services provided. They responded and offered me a certificate for a free one-night stay, which I declined. The certificate doesn't undo the way I was treated, and I have no intention of returning to a Hampton Inn if this is how their employees are trained to treat their guests! I would not recommend this specific location or any other location if this is the type of service they continue to provide to their guests. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable except to be treated respectfully and to have a clean room daily. Next time I'll stay at the Comfort Inn where my daughter said she has ALWAYS had extremely positive experiences any time she stays there! I hope the Hampton Inn will work at improving the training they provide to their employees so another guest isn't forced to have the unfavorable experiences I endured, during a time that was supposed to be full of fun for my daughter's surprise party, which was the reason for my stay at the hotel!

I found Sonesta Suites and have stayed with them before, so I booked a stay here. I upgraded myself prior to checking in to the hotel for a suite with a seperate bedroom. Why? Because I love staying here! Check in was easy and my room had plenty of standard features such as the following: A) Kitchenette with a dishwasher, full size fridge, microwave, stovetop and coffee maker. B) Silverware and some dishes are included C) a desk area with free wifi D) pull out couch E) flat screen TV's in the living room area and bedroom F) plenty of space to store your stuff regardless of how long you're in town for. G) Free laundry facilities onsite. Bring your own detergent H) gym! Here's some things that I think could've been improved on: A) water pressure in the shower was very weak B) Toilet paper was a bit rough. If you're here long term, go grab some charmin C) extremely strong air freshener throughout the hotel. Can be overwhelming at times, so if you're a sensitive Sally, you've been warned! Overall this place is super quiet, and you have plenty of space to live your best life. It's close to the expressway, and while it's a bit of a hike downtown, is literally worth driving the extra few miles for all the perks. I enjoyed my stay and would book again!

DO NOT RESERVE OR STAY AT THE SONESTA SUITES - AIRPORT IN NORTH OLMSTED IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE WITH…read moreALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS!! The housekeeping staff are thieves and management supports and enables these behaviors. My friend and I check into our hotel room late January 17th after a long day of working (film industry). We decided after a few days to allow housekeeping to make up the bed and give us fresh towels. SIDENOTE: They didn't have bath towels available for most of our stay. When we inquired, we were told to go floor by floor to each housekeeper if he/she had towels. Thursday, January 22nd, the housekeeper came in and cleaned the room. When we came back to the room around 1am Friday to our room having been cleaned, extremely cleaned and organized. We were suspiciously impressed. Something told us to make sure all our belongings were still in the room. The housekeeper moved all our items, folded and moved clothing items and shoes. He/She threw away or took items that were not trash nor meant to be removed. He/She also moved my laptop and personal items from the desk, placing them in a bag not intended for them. Upon my mentioning of my laptop being moved, my friend noticed that their $200+ bottle of cologne was missing as it had been sitting next to my laptop and blue note pad. We searched for the cologne for an hour or so while taking inventory of the remaining items we had. We identified that the things that I was missing was minor, yet my friend's cologne is most important. After searching with no success, my friend spoke with the front desk attendant who looked confused by the statement told us that she would notify the General Manager, Katie, who would contact us regarding the issue. Prior to go to work around 930a/10a, we stopped at the front desk to inquire about when should expect Katie to contact us. The new front desk attendant had no idea or record of what we were speaking of but wrote down the information and called Katie. My friend was able to briefly speak with her, stating that she would get back to us on Monday. Unsatisfied with the response, we waited. It's now Monday morning; my friend goes to the front desk around 9a to speak with Katie as promised. However, they're Assistant General Manager, Tiffany, was the only one available. He explained the issue again to her, expressing an investigation and compensation would be more than fair for the inconvenience, lack of safety, and accountability of the staff. She responded with accusations of lying, creating drama, gaslighting, and raised disrespectful tone. When I asked what the time frame time was for the investigation and who would conduct it, she was very dismissive, condensing, and uninterested. After asking specific questions to pull answers, she hesitantly and nonchalantly provided arbitrary responses. I, then, asked for the corporate number and necessary information to speak to her superiors, Tiffany was short and combative in tone. She has the inability to properly communicate with people. At 1:13p while at work, my friend returned a phone call from Tiffany. He expressed she very condensing, dismissive, and rude. She told help that they were not going to investigate the incident because the housekeeper had 20 years of experience. She double down saying "we are not responsible for the guests' belongings while staying at the hotel, including during housekeeping services." When asked for signage and/or documentation to support her statement, she refused to answer. The conversation ended with Tiffany accusing my friend of falsely reporting stolen items and daring them to call corporate to report the issue. I have never experienced such poor customer service, dismissive and condensing behaviors from a hotel. We booked this hotel because of the reviews and rates. The experience has been less than ideal from start to finish. We have one more night to stay and honestly do not feel comfortable doing so.

We normally stay at the Country Inn & Suites when we travel because they consistently provide the amenities we like. But we ended up booking the last room at a hotel in Elyria that was close to friends and our destination. Unfortunately our stay was completely unsatisfactory. The property was poorly maintained and the specific amenities that we rely on when we travel were inadequate. So we decided to find another hotel for our final night and stumbled upon the Cambria. It had our preferred amenities so we decided to give a try. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The property was extremely well maintained and peaceful. The staff was warm and helpful. And our room was excellent. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable and the room layout was great for our two young kids. The pool was the cleanest hotel pool I've ever been in and the towels were kept fully stocked. We loved the fire pit and the pool table. And not only were there cookies in the lobby but also an apple pie for Memorial Day! And my husband LOVED the coffee provided in the library. We only had one small issue with our tv remote and it was addressed promptly. I have to specifically acknowledge Dominique at the front desk. She was extremely courteous and helpful at both check in and check out. We will definitely stay at the Cambria the next time we visit Cleveland.

It's also right next door to Costco and ranges about $115-$130/night. The hotel is nice overall, with a big fitness room, indoor pool and hot tub, two outdoor patios with fire pit and complimentary fruit infused water, coffee and tea. They have a paid buffet breakfast option, bar and dinner options. The breakfast buffet runs about $10/person, adult drinks average $7 or more minimal, I didn't try any of the dinner options, but there is a free appetizer coupon if you check-in on Yelp. The downside of my stay was the room service. My family was staying in about seven different rooms, and we all received very different experiences, but none too good. The cleaning service would consistently show up at different times or not at all. Various of us had to request them to come bring us clean towels, toilet paper, etc. because they didn't show-up some days. Additionally, sheets were supposed to be changed on the third day of your stay, which did not happen. One of the reasons I love staying in a hotel, is that I finally have someone else doing these simple tasks that I do daily at home. Hopefully Cambria can get their act together for the next stay.

It was a really nice hotel and we had some really lovely times in here. I mean really exciting and sinful. Nobody really knows how to use a hotel room the way I do LOL. Or should I say we do. Check in was fine, and we "did it" nice and early. We went out for Angelo's amazing baked potato pizza and then came back and had a fun night. We woke up at the crack of dawn so she could fly out of the airport... which isn't really nearby at all to be honest. Then I came back to the room and had a nap in the perfume-and-baby-oil-soaked sheets.

When I arrived, the door was locked and I felt extremely unsafe. There was food on the floor, it took five minutes for the woman at the front desk to arrive, and it smelled like smoke. After flagging the food on the floor the front desk clerk said it was normal for there to be an exchange of food between people staying there. When I arrived to the room it reeked of cigarette smoke, there were stains on the bed, and there was mold in the bathroom. To sit down on the bed I had to put a towel down. I felt so uncomfortable, and started to feel ill from the smoke. I left after one hour. I have called multiple times for a refund and have been denied because I 'spent time in the room.' I would give this negative stars if I could, it was vile.
