Moving to East Boston, I had no idea where to bring my car and was concerned I would get…read moreovercharged for repairs. Friends of mine who are from Winthrop suggested that I go to Expert Auto, so I tried them out when I needed a state inspection and again when I needed a tire replaced. They have been fair with pricing, (like I was actually shocked that I didn't have to haggle or question the price they were giving me) and have been great at communicating what my car needs. When I have brought it in to see what is causing an issue, they repair what is necessary and don't go overboard just trying to make more money. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when speaking to them on the phone. I have been dropping my car off with a key outside of business hours and picking it up after hours since I work M-F 9-5. I always receive a call with updates and a price estimate the next day and can usually pick up my car the day after that. I trust Expert Auto to do a great job with repairs, at a reasonable price and will continue to use them as my mechanic and suggest them to friends in the area!

Sounded pricey. I ran it over to BAW along with a set of spark plugs I got direct from LR (I thought I could change them til I couldn't figure out how to d/c electrical). He replaced plugs, told me my brakes were corroded w photo. Also, what was causing engine light. Surprise! The fuel line, which on a Rover is the whole flippin' system. We did brakes first, then the fuel system. I'm SO HAPPY! She's better than she's been in ages! I can be pretty tough to please and I'm giving Jon and his place two thumbs up. I've brought in my car a few times;…read moresometimes small things like an oil and air filter tuneup, and then a bigger operation of all new brake pads and rotors with new tires and new calipers all at once. John and his team were always straight forward with me on what they saw, and options to fix things and I always got my car back by the end of the day. Today they just did a quick check on an engine sensor that came up on my dash this week, and found I just had a sensor that was grimy/dirty and no service was needed. Didn't charge me for the time, just sent me on my way with peace of mind. Highly recommend. Also drop in Saturday mornings when they open, and you'll get taken care of nice and quick.
