I'm impressed. Esp. with Jody…read more Hot Yoga on 20th is not Bikrams yoga but it's hot and hot is good. I'm a die hard Bikram Yoga fan and I'm glad Bikram patents his method because anything different corrupts his method. People critisize him but they don't know what he has created. There's no music or incense or airy fairy things in a Bikrams class. I've tried different hot yoga methods different from Bikram yoga and nothing compares to the intensity, or to the artful controlling of certain factors like Bikrams. When I do other yoga methods, I'm not sure how much I'm supposed to deviate from the posture to get the most intensity because the instructors don't guide very well. With Bikrams, every step is uttered. I know when to lock my knee, where to put my head, how to go deeper. Because I've done Bikrams, I have the yoga work ethic, so I can do these other airy fairy female oriented yoga methods and still challenge myself. So I decided to "cross train" at Hot Yoga on 20th. Jody has this amazing ability to be airy fairy and challenging at the same time. She combines the yin and yang in her teachings. I have a whole new world of areas I need to improve on. Her "open foundation" deviates from Bikrams in very cool ways. The restorative class was also challenging. So I guess Bikrams yoga is not the be all and the end all of yoga. ----------- As an aside, what bugs me, is that I tell everyone about hot yoga, and I'm so sure that they don't bother trying it. They can see my body, and my positivity about it. They can see I don't get any royalties or kickbacks and they still don't do it. Why don't people listen to me? It seems like a no-brainer to do hot yoga.

Taking in one of their free seminars was my first experience with Saskatoon Physio Yoga in Spring…read moreof 2018 when I was recovering from a shoulder injury . Right from that first phone call where I was welcomed by the ever friendly front end staff, Chantelle , to the seminar itself where I met Physio therapist/owner/operator Linda B. , I was made to feel right at home. At the seminar I was introduced to their physiotherapy facilities and learned about their modified physio-yoga classes, tailored to ALL capabilities. Linda also mentioned a 6 session Meditation and Mindfulness program they have there, led by Angela Marshall, a qualified, talented and knowledgeable Saskatoon Life Coach ( yes, I signed up and completed this program......I am so grateful to Angela for helping me to make significant life changes thru meditation and for her honesty with her own positive life changes !). The yoga classes ?? I have right side hemiplegia and hemiparisis and need to work on strength and flexibility . I signed up for the beginner Foundations class and was VERY pleased with the attention I received with a modified yoga program. There is no judgement or criticism from other students or staff . Everyone is met where they are within their physical capabilities , given appropriate instruction and encouraged to push your limits........ all very compassionately. Actually, we laugh a lot in class . Its really great ! Yes, I highly recommend Saskatoon PhysioYoga for full service body, mind and soul tune ups !

Overall the Lloydminster staff are great and the gym is well maintained. However Motion Fitness as a company itself provides horrible customer service and hide fees in annual and one time fees that don't make sense. The cancellation policy is also awful and behind the times, you can't email it in and you have to do it in person or by mail... mail! who mails stuff now a days, pathetic. So I ended up having to cancel my membership 2 weeks later and am getting another month of charges when I am moving and won't even be in a city with Motion. When I messaged them to talk about this they responded with a boiler plate message and didn't even read my message, then their response was that this is their policy and wouldn't adjust for circumstances or your personal life events. If you are with Motion just make sure you cancel 60 days before the annual improvement fee for the future year. Bad business that they charge you a future fee after you have cancelled a membership, just a pure money grab and they definitely don't care about their members.
