So, based on the reviews I've read, most people think the guy with the thick accent is the Post Master. I have since learned, he is a clerk. Nothing more. All of the employees that I have encountered were very friendly approachable, and knowledgeable. That being said, at certain times this post office seems to be the only one open within miles of the Garnerville, P.O which, is down the street and is always (either closed for lunch, or has a computer issue) and the other P.O 's of Tomkins Cove, West Havestraw, Havestraw and Theills. Stony Pt post office almost gave me a heart attack and much aggravation. I sent a certified letter to stony Pt and it was delivered on the 12th of December. No one was home supposedly they did not deliver. That I understand. However the person who delivers NEVER left a card in the mailbox so they would know to pick it up. This is their job and I paid 5 bucks for this service. Now I have to find a way or drive 2 hrs to scream to get my certified letter picked up because the idiot did not leave a card. I mail things out often at this branch and have even experienced some lost package issues that I've yet to get solved here. I'll say this, there are some real gems, who work there that are genuinely nice and ready to help you and then there's that lady Anna who is a total b.i.t.c.h & the new postmaster Maggie who isn't any better in the attitude department, she also doesn't know a thing about management. I guess at this branch "The customer is always right" way of thinking doesn't fly. From now on I'm transferring my mail to my mother's house in West Haverstraw, I never have an issue there. read more

Every time I order something from amazon, I always get my package 2 or more days late cuz they"couldn't get to my door driveway mailbox etc," but I always leave the gate unlocked and the mailbox is at the road. I don't understand why it's so hard to leave my package at my door if I'm not here. UPS does it so what's the deal read more

I can't speak about anyone but my mailman, he hits my mailbox about everyday delivering mail. He literally will stuff large packages in the mailbox, he's too lazy to walk up to the door, which is 5 steps from the road. I've had several packages damaged due to his laziness. Just recently a woman was delivering and what a blessing she was but today I received a package in mailbox and could clearly tell it was the original mailman... ugh!! read more
