I broke my arm last June and since we have three kids, it was going to be difficult for my husband to keep up with the lawn and all the other house duties. I called several lawn care companies and begged for them to add us to their list of customers. Wohlf was able to add us and they were very sympathetic to the problem (many other companies didn't even call me back). They were always prompt with cutting the lawn and did an impeccable job - every single time. They did a great job on the cutting, trimming and clean up. The owner always went above and beyond to make us feel like valued customers. I would highly recommend this company without a doubt.

The person who helped me was SUPER informative and took his time giving me ideas. I am a known plant killer/lazy gardener. He gave me a nice list of hardy or easy to grow plants! Blacks has a beautiful selection of trees, shrubs and flowers. Their employees are very friendly…read more The issues I have with them is they only guarantee their products if they install them. I have purchased many shrubs and trees from them. Not once did anyone say they do not guarantee the shrub or tree. Every tree I've purchased from them has been fine until now. I purchased 2 very large Laurels. I planted both the same day. When we put the one Laurel into the ground the ball of dirt fell apart and we saw there was practically no root. The other Laurel was fine. I sent pictures to Blacks to show them the problem but they replied no guarantee. So the one that the roots is doing fine. The one with poor roots has died. See photos I feel the shrub was not going to make it even if Blacks had installed it.

Showed up early with a crew of 6, parked on the tar with the chipper and log truck so not to damage the lawn, dropped both like pros right where they should go, and cleaned up the mess including raking most of the 2 acre back lawn/field by hand to get all the little tiny branches picked up. Professional, good equipment, well trained. Provided a certificate of insurance with high limits (I do insurance for a living). Are they the cheapest? Nope. but they have the right equipment, know what they are doing, and get it done right. I lived on a 6,000 acre tree farm (National tree farm of the year in 2015) in Maine, so I know good tree work when I see it. These guys are good. You get what you pay for. Sure, you can probably get cheaper, I'm sure your neighbors teenager has a chain saw you can borrow... But you won't get better and when you have a huge tree near power lines or your house, or are faced with raking all that mess up yourself, do you really want to take chances for a few hundred dollars? Not me. I'd rather get it done right the first time. Well done, Alpine, well done.....

He said he should be charging $100 but would do it for $65 What we got is grass the same length as the day we called them bad weedwacking absolutely NO edging and large patches of untouched areas. They then came to collect and said they would not be back because despite looking at the property multiple times and walking it he still didn't realize that riding mower wouldn't work on our hill and it was too much work. I am furious "you don't pay till were done" my @$$ they are lucky that they got paid at all!
