Enrolled for the women's only handgun 101 training course on a sunday at the range off Merlin exit 61 in Grants Pass. This was a great class. While they can roster up to 8 attendees, maybe due to the weekend this was on, ended up being a smaller class which was perfect. More 1on1 training for those who really needed it and we definitely had one in the group. Liz is a great instructor. Has the background needed as a licensed NRA instructor, has seen the bad things happen so gives the instruction on what not to do and gives the right advice for getting you on target. She will watch were your shots are hitting and know exactly what adjustments you need. I had some background in firearms already but this was still the perfect course for getting back to basics, doing all the nitty gritty and getting a feel for a variety of different handguns plus learning this range specifically including their safety rules. Not only do you get a good foundation from them on which to grow, you can sign up for their additional courses if interested and you get your certification to apply for your CHL. Have taken many classes with Stoneridge now, and every time, I leave having, grown, and improved in every aspect that I sought for, but also discover something new that I didn't even know I was missing. It's those moments that are absolute gold. Very professional, very well done. The instructor is incredibly knowledgeable. This is only the beginning. Will be taking many more classes with them. *Update: Most recently took the Simunition class. Real world scenarios, real bad guys, real guns, real adrenaline & non lethal ammunition. You don't get second chances in life. This is it. This is your chance to learn from your mistakes and get a do-over. Definitely worth the investment. *Update 2: Now taking Krav Maga. I want to give a big shout out to Stoneridge they are an amazing husband and wife team who have given me the confidence to be around guns and taught me how to safely use them. Before taking the women's gun class, i was afraid of them. I had them locked up in a gun safe ready to sell my husband's collection. He signed me up for this class in hopes it would give me the confidence and understanding on how to properly use a hand gun. I was a little skeptical but went along with it. Liz, the instructor was so understanding and patient with me. She understood how big my fear of guns was and allowed me to go on my own pace. She never made me feel like my questions were dumb. She explained everything and made sure i understood it. I left that class with the understanding and confidence i was needing. I am now ready to go get my own gun and gear and look forward to going shooting with my husband. I highly recommend the women's gun class read more

So, it appears as though Mr Cunningham thinks it's ok to train children in firearm safety, yet violate all the gun safety rules while teaching them. Children lined up, 'guns in hand and on target' while he walks in front of them, kids goofing off and pointing their 'guns' at another's head while he stands directly in front of a girl with the barrel of her 'gun' pointed directly in his belly. Then when he points out someone else's 'training' and he's called out on his own, he deletes the comment and bans from his Facebook group. Yep, you were in the wrong and you know it. I'm so glad I decided to NOT sign up my grand children for this class after seeing your teaching methods. Kids Gun Safety Class should be How to NOT handle a gun. I'm sure he's probably deleted the photos from his website and Facebook by now, but nothing is ever deleted once it's on the internet. read more

Foul language was used during the claas a leud video was shown and he did not adhere to their own 6ft distance sign they had on the wall as the instructor bunched us up for a picture at the end of the class. In the the review he asked for I let him know of my displeasure but still thanked him for the class. David and Liz are absolutely great! I Went to their Womens Handgun 101 beginners class with very little knowledge of my weapon. They quickly eased my apprehensions and were very knowledgeable about Safety and were attentive to everyones questions and needs etc... I left feeling very confident and will continue my education in gun handling , shooting, and safety. I went into this class wanting to legally carry my weapon to protect my family with the proper skillset and I achieved that. I would recommend this class to anyone who needs to learn or if you just need a refresher course. read more

I loved this defense carry fundamentals class. The instructor was very precise with his knowledge, to the point and practicing Gun safety was his top priority while teaching. I learned so much more than I ever did from other well meaning Gun enthusiasts. This class is a must. read more
