I was alone, and didn't have anyone greet me or come ask me my name. I came early and even hung around at the end to see if there were any circles of people my age or just women or people in general to talk to, and no one made eye contact or tried to find out who I was so I felt pretty bummed. But also it was just a first visit so I guess I can't make a full judgement unless I were to give it a few chances. But overall, it's worth checking out.

The good - a couple of super friendly parking attendants who gave directions, etc. Another good is the pastor did teach very much from scripture, John 5: 23-29. He gave a lot of Greek language understanding, which I appreciated. The needs of improvement. Once I got into the auditorium, it was well less than half full when music started. That is perhaps a peeve of mine. As a member, you know when it starts - be ready, be prepared. I'm a pretty outgoing guy, but no one spoke to me once in the building - No One. I sat down behind some folks, aside of others - No One spoke at all. My cologne isnt so bad as to cause no one to sit close or even speak. It was Palm Sunday, Jesus' Triumphal Entry of Christ to Jerusalem. The first song had absolutely NO "umph" or excitement to kick off a worship service - none, and it didn't get much better from there. I'd say less than half the worshipers were singing at all. We have an amazing savior to praise - to relish in worship. Not the case on my visit here. The pastor, though sticking with the text - John 5 - and giving the Greek words - gave almost no illustrations, stories or application. I'm happy about your recent trip to the holy land, but please tell me how it helps here in N Atl. Perhaps as a former pastor, having gone to conferences all over the country, I'm a tough critic. As i continue my search i doubt i will be back. I am looking for exciting spirit filled worship, contagious Christianity. I'm longing to find solid biblical teaching, but with application also sincerely, Scott

I found this place in the hotel registry book in the room where I staying while here on business…read more It stood out and and after checking out their web site, it has a nice contemporary progressive feel. While is says baptist here, it didn't feel like most baptist churches I have have been to in the past. I don't know this church's past, but perhaps it was one of those churches that gets "born again" and updates its model for the current generation. i liked it's slogan; "a perfect church for people who aren't". It seemed real and not just a shtick. The people were nice and friendly and the Spirit of God seemed to be evident. both of the pastors I talked to were very nice and approachable. I had some pleasant discussions with them and one even offered to get together for lunch if I had time while I was here in town. The message was relevant and it hit home on a couple of points. Godly advice; what it is and is not and how to recognize it. the campus is new and has any open layout as is the sanctuary. It is all very inviting. I went to the 9am service and it was a smaller group w/ an intimate feel during the worship. Definitely somewhere I would recommend and go if I lived here.

I have been a parishioner here for more than a dozen years...back to when it first opened. We had…read morebeen previously going to another catholic church in the area, but never really felt a connection there. We came here, and, well, you FEEL the difference. The building itself is large and a bit imposing, but when you enter the adoration chapel or the main sanctuary, you can feel the reverence to the Lord. You feel a religious connection just being here. But a church is about more than the building...it is the people...it is how the church expresses itself through its ministries...it's not just a Sunday event for one hour. At St Brigid, it is what you make it. You can come at Christmas and Easter as many passive Catholics do, or you can come every week in steady devotion to God. But if you want to live your faith more, there are over a hundred ministries in the church to enable you to live your faith further in a way that suits you. I have personally volunteered for more than 10 years in The Employment Network, a ministry helping job seekers of all faiths find employment by improving their job search skills. There has been a fairly regular turnover of the clergy through the years, but the church has been blessed with excellent, engaging priests and deacons. Their sermons normally don't preach AT you, or lecture you, they relate to you. I say sometimes because there are times it sounds like they are reading prepared remarks written by someone else. Whether you are looking for a Catholic church to attend regularly, or considering returning to the Catholic church, or just visiting...this is a very good place to experience being Catholic. All are welcome.

You can get on their mailing list for upcoming conferences. But while actually attending there on Sundays (about 3-4 in a row), my experience wasn't great. In fairness, it was during the summer, when attendance is low due to people on vacation. Jackie Tyre, the prophet/pastor, was there only there about half the time. Visiting "prophets" came in to speak to us while she was gone. One particular "prophet" was very full of himself and talked about all that God had done for him, like getting him a beautiful wife (after his first died) and a nice house and car. These were apparently gifts from generous supporters. He made his new wife come up and raved about how gorgeous she was compared to how ugly he was (typical husband-to-fellow-men verbiage, but she really was attractive). She seemed fairly mortified to be in the spotlight like that. The congregation was mostly older ladies , alone, in their late 60s and early 70s (and a few families of various age), but raving about his beautiful new wife to a crowd with mostly widows and divorced women seemed to lack situational awareness. There was no spiritual tie in such as, "Maybe you feel overlooked by the world, but God adores you much more than I adore her," which would have been an easy way to encourage us all, even if we've been abandoned by a spouse (I haven't) or feel overlooked (most of us do at times). There was no ministry time. He and his wife disappeared immediately after the service and were only available in another room where they were selling their books. While I made an effort to connect with the congregation, I didn't find them very friendly. This is very typical in Atlanta metro, but still worth mentioning. Someone later told me attendance is better when bigger name prophets (like Dutch Sheets) visit. I should note, the room is huge and laid out so that it's very long (not wide and welcoming). The congregation on Sundays only filled about 1/6 of the space. Maybe people were skipping because they knew Jackie was out and random "prophets" like this self-focused guy were coming. I've also been told (after giving up on the church) that people are more friendly on ministry training night (Tuesday, I think).

I love trying out new places.. but churches for some reason.. not so much and this is my reason…read more I'm going to say my honest opinion towards this church. So last Sunday, April 24, 2016, I usually go to church with my sister, Angela S and her husband, Ray S. But that Sunday I couldn't... and so.... I wanted to try out the church right around the corner where I live. I entered the church and the scenery really reminded me of the double doors to Titanic (the movie). I heard talking coming from another set of double doors and talking coming from downstairs (stairs going down on the right side). I saw a bowl of candy and immediately I heard in my spirit say to me "don't take candy from strangers" which was weird because aren't church people the one and the same as you as a believer? So that really made me question about this place. It was like stepping into a time machine when I pulled open the doors. There weren't many people at this church. So I came a bit early and Benjamin (leading Bible Study) was talking about the history of the Bible, I think. There was a projection screen and pictures on it. I wasn't really paying attention. I noticed that there weren't any instruments anywhere. I kept thinking "where do they play their instruments for the worship service?" SUNDAYS 9 AM - Bible Study 10 AM - Worship 6 PM - Worship TUESDAY (04/26) 10:30 AM - Ladies Bible Study WEDNESDAY (04/27) 7:30 PM - Bible Study It would have been helpful if there was a pamphlet about the history of this church but there were none. Worship started at 10 AM and I saw that people were coming in. Not a whole lot like you see in the mega churches. Everyone seemed to know everyone which was a good thing, I guess. So friendly and nice. I was sitting on the pews that read on the side of it "visitors". I sat at the waaaaaaaay back. I met with several people who seemed to be regulars at this church. Very nice people.. but my spirit felt uneasy and uncomfortable. Not suppose to feel that way, especially in the house of God. Something about this place really made me want to run out of that place and I didn't know why? I met Pastor Kerry (hopefully that's how you spell it) and his wife, Melody. I felt like these people weren't normal. I felt like they were faking everything. But I shouldn't make assumptions because these people are also Children of God. I asked the Holy Spirit if this was normal and I felt in my spirit that something about this place gave me the creeps! After service, I met with Laura. She's a regular at this church. She told me a small testimony about her life and how she came to the US when she was fourteen years old. I spoke to her about my experiences with demons and she told me her experiences as well. I was glad to know that there were some people who aren't embarrassed or afraid to talk about these things. We started to talk about visions and dreams. She believes that all dreams come from demons and she made it sound like we don't get visions and dreams from the Lord. But I kept trying to tell her that the Father loves to share wonderful things with his children. But she continued to cut me off.. saying it's not and stuff. So I just thought I'd pray for her. I met with Melody. I was originally suppose to talk to her right after service but I wanted to speak with Laura. I guess her spiritual level isn't high enough to reach Father. Everyone is at a different spiritual level with the Father, I believe. Melody asked me if I wanted to meet with her to Bible study just the two of us. I was like sure.. but then, later, she texted me and asked me if it was alright if she brought along her husband and other people.. not comfortable with that so I declined. I know you (as a believer) should meet with other Christians.. but something about these people just make me go ------- "AHHHHHH!!!!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE???" ***Note: During worship, there are no instruments and they have this really old hymn book with a lot of sleepy songs in it. I really felt like I was living in the past! Benjamin seemed to be the lead person who begins to sing the hymns and leads Bible Study... just weirded me out, I guess, because I'm used to people praising and worshiping God by raising our hands up in the air and singing up beat worship songs! Also, I asked if there was any way I could just come to the church and serve.. and they gave me the weirdest impression ever! What's wrong with serving at a church with so few people in it? They should've said "OF COURSE" but nope.. none of that.. just like a "no" kind of look. Not friendly at all type of attitude. So yea.. not coming to this church. Also, they talk about things that I already know.. how come they're not talking about how we are living in the end times? They do talk about repentance which is always a plus... but other than that. No, no, no! Not the church for me.
