My family had a graduation dinner for my niece and we decided to hire a caricature artist instead…read moreof getting a photobooth and it was the best decision we made!! This was our first time having a caricature artist and I was nervous whether it would be a hit with my family and it definitely was. Let me start off by saying communication was clear and straightforward. I had the pleasure of talking to Amy and letting her know my concerns and things I was looking for and she answered she and every question I had. Amy is so lovely and kind which made my decision easier to pick her to come to my event. I ordered pre-printed paper for our drawings and it was just perfect. Amy sent me different fonts and styles of my nieces name on the paper and I appreciated the time she took to make it perfect for me! Day of event Amy shows up and she's extremely nice and kind and ready to work. I have a huge family with 6 sisters and brother and 25 nieces and nephews and Amy was calm and fast in drawing everyone!! I honestly loved her work and vibe she's a true professional. Highly recommend her. And to top it off her prices are insane!! Super affordable compared to others I search on Yelp. Nothing beats her prices. I will definitely be hiring her again!

If I could give ten stars for the Name Art Artists on the pier I 100% would. It seems like since…read morethe last two reviews from 2014 & 2015 they have now expanded into a few artists on the pier who all work together. After seeing a few of them in action, I decided to make a purchase myself for my mom since she's a Pre-K teacher. The suggested payment is $1 per letter and they offer a sign holder available in multiple colors for $5 to hold your sign in place. As someone who appreciates a skillset, I ask y'all to tip on top of the suggested amount because when you see them in action it's so breathtaking. It's like a little show gifted with purchase. Within a few minutes I had a beautiful sign with some really cool depictions of animals and nature landscapes. In "Mrs. Rey", a volcanic sunset, panda, palm tree, butterflies, whale, parrot, light tower, rabbit, and a peacock were recognizable. The colors are so vibrant and for it to be done in such a short amount of strokes is mind-blowing. Definitely a must if you go to the pier.

What makes him stand out from other name art performers that I've seen is his unique use of multiple colors per stroke and each character reflects an animal or nature, almost as if it tells a story. He minimizes the number of strokes (ie makes each one count). It was just as fun to watch him work as it is watching surgery. Check this guy out when you are on Santa Monica Pier. A simple gift like this (costs $15, the lady loved having our two last names together with hers first and separated by a hyphen (which he made into a heart without our request). Plus he's a cool dude and will share stories about how he came to develop this unique story. Check out his website since he goes to parties by request!

We had to work together to bring our vision to life while staying within some building limitations, and he nailed it. 10/10 would recommend and would work with him again. Aaron created bespoke artwork for us that celebrate our heritage in macadamias, that was created into a mural, merchandise, and expanded also into community events in Hilo as well as Honolulu to celebrate our partnership. Mauna Loa is the heritage macadamia brand from Hawai'i, and it was an honor for us to work with Aaron to give back to the community that we are both a part of. Aaron is from Hilo, and worked with the local schools that he went to- Kamehameha Schools in creating the mural. We threw a Mauna Loa x Aaron Kai community event that was extremely well received, and our staff have commented on how the mural has lifted morale at the plant, as it is such a beautiful piece that everyone sees on their way to work. Aaron is a pleasure to work with, professional, and has become a friend personally since the completion of our project. We hope to work closely with him again in the future. This review is long overdue. 4 years ago I remodeled my bathroom. Coming from an interior design…read morebackground, I'm extremely particular about who I have work on my home. I put a lot of time, money and creativity into the remodel, and therefore I was very particular about who I wanted to work with me on it. I hired Carole to paint back in the details on a vintage, Asian TV cabinet, that I turned into a bathroom vanity. Needless to say this wasn't an easy job. The vanity was initially orange and black, however, I had it painted a light turquoise color. When this was done, it completely concealed all of the intricate detail work underneath it. My former faux painter tried to come in and repaint all of the details back in, however, wasn't able to. The vanity has raised figures on the doors, which take a very delicate touch to get just right. There's also intricate gold fretwork around the doors as well as on the sides. When Carole came in, we sat down together, and discussed how I wanted it to look. We went over colors, different shades of gold, the overall feel of it, etc. She painted in not only on the raised figures but also elaborate artwork on the doors as well. Luckily, I had taken pictures of the cabinet prior to having it painted, so she was able to reference the previous artwork, and not just duplicate it, but make it 100 times better! It turned out to be a masterpiece! It is one of the star attractions of the remodel. Everyone who sees the bathroom is absolutely starstruck at how unique it and beautiful it is, and Carole's expert hand was an integral part of why that is. I can't recommend her enough and if you're lucky enough to have her to work in your home, you'll feel the same way. Her skills are easily on par with those of the old world masters. I hope to work with her again in the future, as I have a couple of projects in mind that I would like her to bring to life. Thanks again, Carole. You were a joy to work with.

It was a process and took much effort but she was able to restore the mural and what she was able to do was beyond belief. Some areas so little was left, but was able to keep the mural true to form. She is an incredible artist in her own right and we are very happy she consented to do this job.

This is an excellent company and I'm so happy with my decision…read more Let me start by saying this is the first time I've hired a muralist and I am also a first time father. This was important to me. Jeanine took the time to listen to what I was looking for and suggested a few things to help grow my idea. I loved that. She came over and was so kind and really took time to understand this was more than just a job; this was something my kid is going to grow up with. She took measurements, and even took color swatches of the carpet and furniture to make sure we matched the color palette! She quickly mocked something up and a few days later I had a photoshopped mockup for approval. Once we approved it we setup a date and I paid the deposit. Marcus was the artist that was assigned to this project. He was so kind and wonderful in my home. He let my wife and I peek and see progress, and would check in with me if he had any questions. He's a really talented artist and executed my vision faithfully. At the end of the day my wife cried (with joy), we have our incredible mural and I couldn't recommend this company enough. Really pleased with how it turned out and I will be calling them again for my next mural or art project.

The muralists they send are such professionals, so talented, and a joy to have had in our house. They are extremely tidy while they work, and I just have nothing but positive things to say.
