I've attended Stonehill from it's inception. We started attending because we live across the street from where the church gathers together on Sunday morning (Victory Middle School). We continue to attend because of the way the church interacts with our own members as well as with the world around us.
The staff does an excellent job of modeling Jesus-like behavior, and they inspire the rest of us to do likewise. Church is not about being a social club; rather, it is the physical presence of God's self-sacrificing love in the world. As a church, we serve one another with this same kind of love and we strive to practice this love with those we interact with the rest of the week (our families, friends, co-workers, "strangers", and all).
We plan to build a building in south Meridian. A generous member of the church donated several acres for the facility. We are not going anywhere.
You'll find all ages here, a variety of ethnicities. We love all people.
There is a multitude of opportunities for involvement. I'd suggest finding a community group where you can meet, and get to know, individuals. Though the church has been in existence for less than 2 years, we see nearly 1,000 attendees every week. It can be difficult to truly make friends unless you're willing to spend time intentionally looking to build friendships. But with so many very friendly people, you'll soon discover it's an easy task.
