I have visited Life Church a number of times over the years (whenever I am home from the military) and I am thankful and blessed to call it my home church even if I am thousands of miles away. Life Church is relational, not religious. First off, the presence of God is overwhelmingly powerful, tangible and easily sensed here. God's movement in Life Church is persistently evident through the numerous life changing testimonies of those who attend. Addicts fully recovered, the sick are healed, relationships and families restored, sinners completely set free, kids and youth learn and believe, businesses and finances prosper- the lost are found, and the found are taught. Judge them by their fruit, or come see for yourself. Their worship is truly amazing and led by the Holy Spirit. The worship team is gifted and they steward their gifts well. The music is a mix of modern Christian and contemporary gospel that is upbeat, inspiring, intimate and spontaneous, true worship of God and His son Jesus. Pastor Mark and the entire pastoral staff are truly diligent in study and in walk- sermons are biblical, truthful, and full of God inspired revelations that impact your life. I especially love how the teachings are organized into a series and are presented clearly. Don't be surprised if you find yourself laughing mid sermon either... (fun at church)!? The congregation is full of loving and accepting people who genuinely love the Lord and love people. There is a staffed nursery, kids classes, youth groups, young adults, and life groups for every category, age, and season of life. There is Life Bible College for those called to serve and are hungry for higher education. They have an app for staying connected, archives of previous teachings, digital giving and more. Life Church live-streams on Facebook and YouTube and is active on Instagram making it easy to stay connected and be fed while away. I have searched for a church like this where I am stationed... I am truly thankful to God to have sent me to this church everything I heard from the pulpit was exactly what I needed that day I became rededicated to Jesus and baptized in the same day I was also being oppressed by a demonic presence and they prayed for deliverance and God provided through faith and his word and believe I was delivered!! My mother was a regularly attending & active church member before entering a home 2 years ago. she continued to tithe until her death. they were not responsive when we reached out to ask one of their 10 pastors to officiate her funeral. first were told to fill out an online form, no response. then their office was closed and no one could be reached. We had to find someone outside her church to help us which is a terrible shame. They should tend to their parishioners and their families better than this. read more

Pastor Mark has made Life Church exceptional. He has the gift of healing and is a true teacher. It is a Bible based Church and Pastor Mark is able to interpret the Bible applying it to everyday life in ways I can't do on my own. People are friendly and there are lots of Church based activities. I've noticed a particular kindness and concern by all the greeters and ushers. I don't feel compelled to go and I miss it when I can't make it. Life Church is a non denominational Christian church located in Meridian right off Eagle Rd.. I started attending Life Church in August 2007 when it was located in Boise. This review incorporates 10 years of getting to know the Pastor's vision and heart and seeing it unfold as well as the changes in my life from where I was to where I am. How to sum it up in a few paragraphs will be challenging but let's give it a shot. Overview: I am super thankful for this church. I am thankful to have a Pastoral staff that seek God daily. I know the Pastors are called to be Pastors as it shows in their dedication, wisdom and vision for the church. They truly have a heart to see people prosper in every area of their life. Our Pastors hear from God and with all their heart desire to pursue the will of God and make that a priority. There have been dozens of times where I needed a specific word and it was exactly what I needed to hear. The Holy Spirit is alive and present in the church services with manifestations of amazing miracles and healings frequently. Lives are touched and people are changed. God has touched many lives since I have attended there and radically transformed their lives as I have witnessed this not only in my life but others that I have relationship with. Worship and Services: Our services on Sunday start at 9:30am, 11:30am and 1:30pm. They start off with amazing worship. The worship has a variety of contemporary music such as Bethel and Hillsong but also a wide variety of other songs. The worship invites you to engage in a time of devotion and adoration for all Jesus has done. Everyone on the worship team has a unique gift and ability and when the come together it is truly beautiful. Our Pastor delivers powerful and relevant sermons as to what the Spirit leads him. Our Pastor is very organized but is sensitive to change directions if led to do so. I am super thankful for a Pastor who is committed to preaching the truth no matter the cost. Our Pastor is super gifted in teaching and is one of the best teachers I have heard. He relates truth in a way that is understandable and relatable. The very few times that he is not there to teach, he allows others to speak on his behalf and they have always delivered wonderful teachings as well. Youth: Like other churches, Life Church has youth services available on Wednesday evenings. The Youth Pastor is extremely gifted in teaching and connecting with the youth with a heart for God. He is relatable and understands the pressures of youth living in today's world. Children's services: I don't have any kids that attend the children's services but I have heard numerous stories from several families that the kids love the service and can't wait to come back the following week. Every time I look into the services I see kids enjoying themselves. From what I have been told the curriculum in teaching kid's services are top notch. Life Groups: The church is large and is divided up into three services. One of the benefits of church is having another family to come together and share life with. With a church this size, the church really encourages everyone to join a Life Group. A Life Group is a small groups from 6-12 people that gather together weekly or bi weekly to discuss a variety of topics from book studies, finance groups, marriage groups, singles groups, etc. You can join a Life Group anytime but they typically go for 10-12 weeks and then take a small break. You can continue going to the same group or change groups depending on what you would like to discuss. It is a great way to meet people and take a specific topic to a deeper level. I know no church is perfect for everyone but if you are looking for a church to plug into and get connected to some great teaching, good friendships and to experience God, give this place a try. I am just grateful for all the Pastors and staff, they have been so kind to me and have helped encourage me through some tough times. I've been at Life Church for 5 years now and I couldn't be more thankful. I have always been told how blessed I am to have gotten saved and raise up in my faith here. I never understood why until now. The lost are found every week and the truth is being taught. I know I can count on this church to live up to the great commission no matter the cost; Salvations, baptisms, spirit filled, healings, deliverances, going out into the world, you name it. We have been attending Life Church for over two years and are blessed to call this our home church. Worship is incredible, Pastor Mark's teachings are truly led by the Holy Spirit and people genuinely care! There are two Sunday services, 9:30 and 11:30AM. Services are approximately 1.5 hours and begin with worship and announcements after, followed by Pastor Mark's message. There is also a weekly Wednesday night Believer's Meeting that begins at 7PM. Every first Wednesday of the month is healing night. I grew up in the church but never once attended a service outside of a Sunday one. I attended my first Believer's Meeting last April and have been to almost every single one since. I highly recommend attending a Wednesday night Believer's Meeting if you haven't already! There are a good variety of Life Groups that are available to join. There is also an awesome Kid's & Youth ministry with Vacation Bible School and Kid's camp over the summer, Youth camp in the Winter, Kingdom encounter nights, live worship and more! Even though, this is an amazing church, the most important factor in this is God and our relationship with Him. Since attending Life Church, my life has been transformed, I have had more God encounters in these last two years than I have had my entire life and I know Him better than ever. Been coming to Life Church since 2007! Building used to be at Maple Grove & Overland and since Life Church was growing even with 3 services that time, it seemed fitting to go on a bigger & better place! Hence the move in 2012 along Eagle. I think what makes Life Church one of the best churches in the valley is that Pastor Marks teaches with such power & authority & really brings life to our lives! That was Jesus came here for, to give us life abundantly! He really brings out the word & encourages you & challenges you to walk it out! Not just a hearer but a doer of the word! Worship is one of the factor too, people really worship God here, sings, dances, lifts hand. Music is more in contemporary like Bethel, Gateway, Hillsong, Elevation, Planetshakers & so on but we do sing some classic old ones from time to time or even original music. Also we are very particular with the song content, always grounded on the finish work of the cross! There's power in words! I also love the praise reports & testimonies! It's so good to give God the glory with our testimonies & victories & it encourages others too! Every Sunday services, Ms Amy (Pastor Marks wife) share those testimonies which are sent via email or written. Every first Wednesday of the month, we have a Healing service. A lot of people come here to get healed & we saw some amazing healing that took place even so myself! Jesus received the stripes on His back for our healing, might as well access that, it's free! The rest of the Wednesdays are Believers meeting! It's like unplanned kinda service compared to the one on Sundays. It's like "Holy Spirit have Your way". Sometimes we worship the whole service, sometimes teaching takes place the whole service and sometimes mixed of both! Aside from the amazing adult services happening both on Sundays & Wednesdays, Life Church also offers Youth & Kids services! I think it's great so that we adults can focus on our time with the Lord! Can a review about a church be of any spiritual advice? No. What I can tell you is only of authenticity, sincerity, and hell, a car salesman on stage! This is the worst church I have personally been to. There is nothing negative about the environment or staff, everything seems to be a big box non denominational Christian church to the core. But then it's showtime! The band was awful, and pretty awkward, but not a deal breaker. Let's move on to the service! Not without some strange sinister laughter from the male singer. Then comes a woman with a huge mint in her mouth to read some testimonials about lazy people praying for their house maintenance to take care of itself. And the crowd goes crazy! Oddly enough, people were tuned in to her, but what comes next was just exciting! The pastor walks out on stage, and is fumbling about with the plexiglass stand, and continues to remind me of a bad Tim Robbins lookalike auditioning for a role as a presidential candidate. Politician, car salesman style pastor, that manages to say nothing heartfelt for 10 minutes before 'warming the crowd up' with a line of scripture as the ushers hand out plastic buckets for tithing. Pretty sure the card to go with your cash said "I gave" on it, including a place for your name? Financial accountability? This was about the time where I proceeded towards the exit. 45 minutes in, no sermon, but a bad taste in my mouth for all of these members being misled from righteousness. Life Church, a DVD is not going to tell me what you're church is all about, your actions spoke volumes. read more

I realized it has been awhile since my first review and that a fair amount of time as passed, in which an updated review is warranted. My family has faithfully been attending Life Church since June of last year, and I have to say I truly enjoy it more and more as time passes. The church members and church body are such friendly, welcoming people. With a membership of I am sure over 1,000 it is impressive that I don't feel like a little fish in a giant fishbowl. I love that there are always new events popping up on the church calendar to provide opportunities for fellowship and personal growth. I truly do feel blessed to have found my church home. My husband and I were visiting our daughter and her family from out of state. Before visiting we searched online for a church to visit while in Meridian. I listened to Pastor Mark's message online from the previous week before visiting. We were led here by Holy Spirit to hear this truth filled, insightful and profound message on 3/18/18 about FINDING FRANK, part 2 of series. Acronym: F-friend, R-relatives, A-associates, N-neighbors, K-Kids. It was one of those moments when we knew in our hearts that this message on this day, at this exact time was what we needed. We have been Christians for a long time. God keeps feeding and growing us through His Word, prayer and listening to His still small voice, worship AND through Spirit filled pastors like Pastor Mark. Praise God! we knew we were home when we first walked in the door! To find a church with an amazing pastor that is perfectly lined up with everything we believe and were taught at Charis is such a blessing! Since than our daughters and their families have also become members of Life Church. We are privileged to be a part of the Healing Team and have taught a Bible Study on Spirit, Soul, and Body. Great church. Now that I'm in college, I realize more than ever how blessed I am to have grown up in this church. It was a solid foundation that established the Word in me and inspired me to seek God for myself. It led me to make my faith my own. God is definitely moving here. People are welcoming and loving, leaders are loving and Spirit led. I started attending Life Church almost a year ago, and I'm amazed to see the transformation in my life. I've attended Life groups, helped out at the Summer & Winter camps for the youth, am attending their Bible College, and I love helping out in Realife (the youth group.) I've had the opportunity to meet the pastors, helpers, and the folks that make up Life Church, and I can say that they truly have a heart for God and for the Treasure Valley (and beyond!) I've seen healings: bad backs restored, food allergies disappear, perfume allergies disappear, depression gone, anxiety gone, ear loss recovered, lower back pain gone, asthma gone, car accident injuries disappear, war injuries healed, Vertigo gone, sicknesses I can't spell gone (LOL), vision cleared up, etc. The list would continue quite a ways, but my point is that God heals, and that this church believes that He can, too! :D I love how even people I'm not close to care about me and know my name. I had been a Christian since growing up in a Christian family-I had gotten so cynical from many churches and denominations that I finally decided I would never go to any church regularly, then by a chance meeting, I attended Life Church, and have gone every Sunday since. The first sermon I heard from Pastor Mark sent me out the door thinking "I was right all along!- many of the things that didn't add up for me were non-scriptural traditions. I am simply amazed at how the scriptures are taught. and by that I mean it's 100% scriptural. There are great churches with good people, but LC fills in all of the empty spaces that I did not even realize I had been missing. The people are so genuine in their sincere love-that hits you right when you step up to the door and meet the first greeter. They have so much to offer terrific pastors, a great children's ministry, a great praise team and much more. They have Growth Track, and Life groups not enough to give all the details. They have too many ministries you can serve in to list, plus they are always open to new ideas for ministries. They are also open to suggestions for Life Groups. You are a partner in this church-no a member. I would challenge anyone to just go to one Sunday service and hear Pastor Mark and see if they can keep from coming back again and again. Pastor Mark is on FOX channel 8 ..AM Sunday mornings. I happened to catch that for the first time October 2016, liked it and went there a couple hours later. The greetings started in the huge parking lot where I was asked if I was new and guided to a special parking in the front. I walked in and was given a gift bag. I felt accepted right away. Since then I have taken on some volunteer opportunities and joined a Bible study group. I love Pastor Mark's sermons. I've learned a lot and laughed a lot. The Holy Spirit is palatable and I look forward to going to church. read more
