We have been attending Life Church for over two years and are blessed to call this our home church. Worship is incredible, Pastor Mark's teachings are truly led by the Holy Spirit and people genuinely care! There are two Sunday services, 9:30 and 11:30AM. Services are approximately 1.5 hours and begin with worship and announcements after, followed by Pastor Mark's message. There is also a weekly Wednesday night Believer's Meeting that begins at 7PM. Every first Wednesday of the month is healing night. I grew up in the church but never once attended a service outside of a Sunday one. I attended my first Believer's Meeting last April and have been to almost every single one since. I highly recommend attending a Wednesday night Believer's Meeting if you haven't already! There are a good variety of Life Groups that are available to join. There is also an awesome Kid's & Youth ministry with Vacation Bible School and Kid's camp over the summer, Youth camp in the Winter, Kingdom encounter nights, live worship and more! Even though, this is an amazing church, the most important factor in this is God and our relationship with Him. Since attending Life Church, my life has been transformed, I have had more God encounters in these last two years than I have had my entire life and I know Him better than ever. God is present, He is alive and He loves us! God led my family to Life Church and I am so thankful. He knew what I needed before I did.

A security guard came up and told me that he watched me pick up the flower and told me to get it off. I felt violated that he would be so petty and just had a few mild words. Then he texted the main security guard who followed me around the auditorium when I went in. This man had angry tones, sat beside me and told me not to talk to him. I left to another part of the church and he stalked me with horrible stares. I moved four times. I finally left. I think many people are true blue in this church, but there should be no place in God's house for such hostility for someone just sitting in a chair. Overreactive security but also hateful projection from a staff member. Not over reacting. FOr real.

It's truly been a blessing to witness the growth of the church & meet new faces. I come from a very large church in CA, so when the pastor greets me by my first name, I am blown away every time. Thank you, Henry!

We loved the deeply well-thought and theological sermons, as well as the charisma and sense of humor of Pastor Henry. We also appreciated that they didn't come on too strong when it came to getting connected, as this had been a problem at a previous church we had tried to attend. We have enjoyed our time at TMC, and we both have participated in various ministries. However, there are a couple problems that are unfortunately leading us to find a new home church. For one, while all of the sermons preach on internal transformation, there are a lot of topics that we believe still need to be discussed in the church that TMC doesn't touch on. These include topics like homosexuality, politics, abortion, etc. Obviously, these are the more "controversial" topics in Christianity, which we feel is the reason why TMC doesn't touch on these. TMC is a very large church that obviously takes their business and outreach side very seriously. The only time we've heard Pastor Henry touch on any of these was when he brought up LGBTQ+ pastors and all he really had to say on it was something along the lines of "I personally don't agree with it". This is a problem because the Bible very clearly goes against LGBTQ+ pastors. It seems like they sacrifice talking about the controversial things in order to keep the business and outreach side in check, which my wife and I believe is never okay. We believe a church should touch on every biblical topic, both the pretty and the ugly. This really hit us point blank when we saw that they not only celebrate but actively promote halloween, and we're not just talking about "trunk or treat" (which has its own problems in and of itself). They have a "youth halloween party", even using the cross as a halloween decoration on their handout. My wife and I have found that it takes very minimal research to find out that halloween is not something followers of Christ should participate in. That's not to say that every Christian who does celebrate it is going to hell, but to have a whole church taking part in it just feels blatantly wrong, once again, sacrificing God's word and commandments for outreach. Due to these reasons, we are now looking for a new church, one that perhaps treats the Bible more authoritatively. We will always keep TMC in our thoughts and prayers.

They will stalk you, harass you, verbally assault you and threaten you when you leave - particularly if you share any of the abuse that has occurred during your time here. But it's all empty words used in an attempt to intimidate and control you. Hold your head high, flip off Mark Bryan when you see him, and rebuild your life despite the lies they will tell about you. You deserved better. Now give yourself better. They will never admit their fakeness. Their abuse. Their lack of accountability or the lies they tell about others. If you need to get it out like I did, do so. But don't expect maturity, love or understanding to come from a single member. It won't. It doesn't matter how messy an individual's healing journey becomes, it's far more noble than the two-faced backstabbing that happens at Harvest Church. Because it's authentic and real which you will not find here. To the new people offended at the negative reviews: Just because they haven't hurt you (yet), doesn't make past abuse okay. It's still wrong what they did and your reviews only further support the accusation of brainwashing here. Every cult that has ever existed consisted of followers who were trained to believe that their leaders were better than "the others". For example, to state this church preaches the truth "unlike other churches" is proof that this manipulative tactic is being implemented. I understand though because I was once brainwashed into believing the same things as well. But thirty years and the seats are still empty is not "God's favor". God does not "favor" this place. There was a time that was powerful, but they destroyed their own house. Now it will never be what it could have been. But stay if you like. Write argumentative reviews meant to discredit other's truth. Believe the delusions spun before your face. You're only fooling yourself. Keep praying for the "harvest", while surrounding churches overflow with members. Post online the one time a donation to a food bank is made, just like the Pharisees bragged about their good deeds. And above all else - remember that the pastors are the true victims here. Your poor, helpless pastors that can "do nothing" and need you all to defend them. How they have treated others when they left, is also how they will treat you. It's just a fact. Your pain will be ignored and dismissed with arrogant 5 star reviews by your "genuine" friendships. Oh - you think you're special? I did too. In fact, there was pressure to marry the pastor's son even. Now they say I was "always a problem" and they're "better off". All in the name of "Jesus." Because that's how "Jesus" talked about people - isn't it? Leaving was the best decision I ever made. I don't struggle financially, anymore. I am working towards a PsyD. I moved out of low-income housing. I get to choose who I date. My friends have my back, rather than talk behind it...on and on I could go. My life is beautiful, successful and peaceful. I couldn't be happier or more grateful for where I am today. But this place says the "devil" led me "astray". Please. I was a single mom who worked a full-time job and couldn't afford food for the 10 years I attended because I tithed instead. When the church becomes more important than your family or your home - THAT'S the devil. P.S. I fully stand by what I wrote. And I will stand by what I wrote all the way to a courtroom if need be. The Bryan's use the tactic of fear mongering to discourage members from talking about their hurtful experiences here by teaching them that talking about it is illegal and "slander". I am not afraid and am waiting to be served, Mark and DD.

If you're looking for an unapologetically Bible-believing church, I highly recommend visiting TVBC…read more They describe themselves as "still church", an apt description: they still use the KJV, and still sing hymns from a hymnal, thereby preventing modernist twistings of Scripture as well as modernist man-centric "worship", so-called. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, after all! And the true Word of God, preserved in the KJV, is most certainly not "broke". (Can I get an amen?) Also not "broke" is the traditional form of worship that God's Word makes clear to be His preference. Worship isn't about us--it's about God, after all! And TVBC understands this. John 4:24 states clearly: "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Therefore, in order to fulfill the truth requirement, worship MUST be doctrinally sound. The best way to ensure doctrinal soundness is to base lyrics directly on Scripture, which is exactly what the classic hymns are, and this is why Independent Fundamental Baptist churches, including TVBC, still sing hymns. They don't dip their toes in the neo-evangelical or ecumenical movements either; pastor Rick DeMichele is well aware of how they open the door wide for doctrinal compromise to sneak its way in. (Read "The Tragedy of Compromise" by Earnest D. Pickering for more on this topic.) My wife and I have been searching for a while, but this church is the real deal, and will be our church home moving forwards. We've only attended for a couple of weeks now, but we've already made several new friends, and feel very much at home already. Praise God for faithfully preserving His True Church, and for faithfully providing for all those who truly seek Him. TVBC is among the best examples of both for anyone living in the Treasure Valley who truly wants to grow closer to the Lord and glorify Him. Thank you for reading, and God bless!
