Fratelli's Wood Fired Pizza - Gamberoni

This review is well overdue. Best Pizza in Sydney…read more And I have challenged fiends to prove me wrong. A few have come close, but this place is reliably good. Really nice outdoor seating and perfect outdoor area for kids to play while they wait for pizza. Often see the same people here, so a good meeting point for locals. Bring your bottle if you want, and a bottle shop just up the road. Creamy Pastas are worth getting. And all the pizzas are great. Always friendly staff too! The only con is it is too popular for delivery!

Really yummy pizza!!…read more My cousins discovered this place and raved about the pizza, so we ordered it on a Friday night. We called and ordered three pizza and they said it would be 30 minutes. We drove there from the city and got there in like 15 minutes. Parking is as bit of a challenge, but luckily someone was pulling out and we got a spot. This place was packed! The kitchen was tiny, four chefs crowded around the stove making pizzas. We had to wait about 15 minutes and walked around. There were a few other restaurants, but they were all fairly empty. Got the pizza and it smelled so good. Couldn't wait to eat it. We ordered the fratelli's - with mushroom, rocket and proscuitto, the Napolenta - which had olives and sardines and the Gamberoni, which had prawns, garlic and lemon. The Fratelli was delicious and they didn't skimp on the proscuitto. The Napolenta was nice but not a fan of sardines. The Gameroni was yummy and the prawns were delicious! Great place for pizza, probably the best I've tried in Sydney so far..

The guy that runs this is like the fun, nice, cool Uncle I wish I had instead of the old, drunk,…read morepervy one I actually have. He's genuinely Italian (not like those awful fake Italians that seem to be everywhere you look these days) and is chronically happy in the most relaxed and infectious way. And hells, why wouldn't he be when he's blessed with the God-given talent to create the most awe-inspiringly, pants-wettingly delicious pizzas in Sydney? You may guess from that little paean that this is my go-to 'za joint and you'd guess right. None of this pan base crap. No bike wheel-thin, brittle dough with an artisan scraping of tomato sauce and three pieces of gourmet pepperoni. These bad boys are dripping with love and quality toppings, stacked high with colour and juice and topped with tasty cheese and chilli flakes and those ace little Italian anchovies I can't get enough of. My fave is The Special with pretty much everything and the kitchen sink on it. But NO PINEAPPLE. God help you if you order pineapple on a pizza. What are we, Polynesian cavemen? It's cheap, too. 2 families feeds three of us with lunch left over the next day. Boom. All hail Antos, king of pizza parlours!

Thankfully, Benjamin said most of it for me. The only thing I will add is that their Vegetarian options are also unparalleled and they will happily change toppings for you, or you can create your own. P.s. PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA FOR LIFE! *shakes fist at sky*

After a two and a half hour scenic walk from spit bridge, the place did the job. We were…read moredesperately hungry and in need for comfort food. Pizzas here are not the best, but they are good. Nice thin crust, generous servings and a friendly service too: the owner is an energetic lady who welcomed us although they were closing in a half hour, and gave us smiles, telling us not to rush and that we had plenty of time.

Reviewing this place purely because of how great the experience my partner and I just had here…read more. This joint is an instant fav. Firstly, after mentioning our fav types of wine, the waitress gave us great tips on which wine we would most likely be into. In turn we ended up with a very inexpensive wine that was at the same time amazing. We ordered the arancini balls chef special to start. Instead of the usual intense deep fried small arancini you would get at most Italian joints in Sydney, we received deliciously large BAKED arancini balls.. They were absolutely to die for. I seriously hope they become a part of the regular menu for next time we come here. Having the word Pizza in the restaurant title made us certain to order pizzas for our first visit. I'm glad we did. First was the pepperoni, which was the first perfectly balanced pepperoni pizza I've had. By simply adding capsicum (red peppers) they made what is regularly known as an intense pizza, something truly delightful and wholesome. Secondly was the extremely fun, 'quattro formaggio' aka the 4 cheese pizza.. No messing around here. A straight up cheesefest on a pizza. Perfect remedy for any mildly hungover couple. Be sure to ask for a side of chili oil as that, drizzled lightly over the Quattro Formaggio is a dangerously tasty combination. Lastly, to feel a touch more human and break up all the fun we thought we oughta grab a side of Italian salad. It had its purpose and most certainly did its job. The tables at this place are dressed in gorgeous checkered Italian tablecloths and from every vibe I got, this is a family owned and operated restaurant. My partner and I are already extremely excited about coming here on a regular basis as it ticks all the boxes.

The Bored Monkey is a large restaurant located over two floors on Pittwater road in Narrabeen. The…read morerestaurant downstairs is spacious and suits either a dining pair, larger groups and even a party. If you're looking to have a function, there's also a function venue upstairs. What a great place for a function, particularly when there is no minimum spend. The Bored Monkey operates for breakfast on a Sunday, lunch from Friday-Sunday and dinner Tuesday-Sunday. They are soon to open a cocktail lounge upstairs with tapas to suit the early cocktail hour crowd. The decor is casual and the restaurant feels comfortable, with a varied crowd of differing ages. Staff are warm and friendly and service was extremely efficient. We would describe the menu as very approachable. All diners can find something that meets their taste. Whether it be a burger, steak, nachos, salad, pasta and meats, or something from their amazing range of seafood options, you will leave satisfied. There's some dishes that would suit those with dietary requirements and also a kids menu. Kids under 12 eat free! There's a lunch menu for $29.95 or $25 for seniors. This is very good value for two courses (main and dessert) with a glass of beer, house wine or soft drink. We really enjoyed the dinner menu, and feel that the food here is high quality. It would be categorised as modern Australian, featuring selections from the sea, grill and garden. On our visit, we had a few from each category. For entrees, we began with a few Sydney Rock oysters, sampling a few flavours, the natural Kilpatrick, lime, soy, ginger and eschallots. The oysters were so nice and creamy and it is hard to pick a favourite.   These were followed by the sake scallops, which were cooked perfectly - three Victoria Bay scallops sitting in their shell, cooked with garlic, negara sauce, soy sauce and shallots, the were full of flavour and we just wanted to keep going back in for that sauce.   We also shared the Skull island prawns, grilled and served in their butterflied half shell, they were flavoured with a mild kick of chilli oil, basil, flakes of salt and freshed herbs.   Other entrée / tapas style dishes for you to select from include arancini, tequila poppers, pork belly, zucchini flowers and haloumi, to name a few. For our mains, we decided to share the surf & turf which we chose Moreton bay bug as the seafood addition. A lovely piece of seafood beautifully cooked and flavoured, accompanying the A variety of wine from the right regions and good range of beer on offer including craft beer on tap, with one of our favorites stone and wood pacific ale. There are number of inviting cocktails with many classics listed and a couple of interesting twists including the lychee martini and the salted caramel espresso martini. We had a refreshing mojito to accompany our seafood selection.

I like that in 2 weeks they will be sampling 8 95 pts or higher Halliday rated wines from Evans and Tate in the Margaret River with a 5 course dinner for $100 Aus I had a grilled eggplant lasagne, while the other members is my party ordered Thai beef salad, saki scallops and sirloin steak, and grilled calamari salad. The wild mushroom arancini was excellent as was the Mediterranean starter of baba ganoush, hummus, and pita. If you're close by - drop in for lunch or dinner.
