The spa is serene and very clean and I'd like to go back for a facial and another massage sometime. I would give 5 stars for the spa and three for the rest of the resort, due to the following: This resort is no longer a Club Med location. It was bought by a local investment group and there seems to be some poor communication and training issues within the organization. When I went, the guard at the gate told me to check in at the front desk for directions to the spa. The person I spoke with at the front desk was very confused and wanted me to buy a day pass. However, you don't have to buy a day pass to get a massage at the spa, and you don't have to check in at the front desk (at least that wasn't the situation when I went). I just drove over to the side of the parking lot near the spa (as they eventually instructed) and went in for my massage. This was admittedly a few months ago, so hopefully they've got it figured out by now.

March was very kind and professional. She ensured that the pressure was good for me and made sure I was comfortable. MASSAGE: This was the best massage I have ever had! When you arrive, you are given a robe, sandals and locker. Then you go to the Zen Garden where you begin to unwind. After being greeted by your massage therapist, the experience begins with a foot soak and massage as they welcome you into the room and make you feel at ease. Then they give you time to get comfortable on the massage table. The next step was aromatherapy to start your relaxation and bring you to "Provence." None of the scents are overwhelming and the products used are good for sensitive skin. BE ZEN: Following the massage, you are led into the Zen garden. This is the most rejuvenating place, like a hidden oasis! You are offered tea and water and given a tray with mixed raisins and almonds. The bamboo, vines, trees and fountains make this a beautiful place to unwind. We can't wait to return! Thank you!

It was calming, healing, and uplifting all at once...the kind of experience that stays with you. I still think about this spa ALL the time. If you need some quiet time to yourself, go. If life has been feeling stressful, go. If you're looking for support with respiratory issues or skin concerns, go. It's such a peaceful place to relax, reset, and take care of yourself. There's something special about salt therapy. Salt is essential to the body, and many people find it incredibly soothing and restorative. The salt room gave me the chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and just be present. The owner was so kind and welcoming. At one point, I needed to step out of the salt room for a bottle of water, and they were incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. I felt comfortable and cared for the entire time. The salt was definitely doing its job--I must have had something that needed clearing out because I felt so much better afterward. Maybe it was my throat chakra. The spa is located in a charming old home that adds so much character to the experience. In the front, they offer natural soaps, room sprays, cleaning products, jewelry, and other lovely items that make great gifts or little treats for yourself. I've since moved away from the area, but I still think about this place often. I can't wait to come back and visit again. It's truly a special little gem.

I had been looking forward to this appointment for over a month. I had previously seen Jess twice…read moreand loved the quality of her haircuts, which is why I was willing to wait and pay nearly $100 (before tip) for a haircut. Because I have very long, thick hair, I repeatedly communicated to both Jess and the salon that I needed a full two-hour appointment. I mentioned it through Instagram, reminded the front desk when my appointment was scheduled and rescheduled, and even confirmed it again when they asked me to move my appointment time. Each time I was assured there would be enough time. When I arrived early for my 4:30 appointment, Jess was still finishing another client. Instead of greeting me or having a consultation, an assistant came to take me for a shampoo. Since I planned to donate my hair and had decided on a significant cut, I asked if we could do a consultation first and cut the ponytail before washing. The assistant left to get Jess. Jess then approached me in the front of the salon while still working on another client and, in front of employees and other guests, immediately questioned what I wanted to do with my hair. The conversation felt rushed and uncomfortable, especially since we hadn't discussed the haircut yet. For such a significant change, I expected a private consultation with my stylist before anything else. By the time I finally sat in her chair, I explained that I felt embarrassed by how the interaction had been handled. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, I was told the goal had simply been to save time because my appointment would likely run past closing. From my perspective, I had done everything I could to communicate that I needed extra time well in advance, so it was disappointing to feel like my appointment had become an inconvenience. At that point I no longer felt comfortable trusting someone who seemed rushed and frustrated to make a major change to my hair, so I chose to leave without receiving any services. The most disappointing part wasn't that I left without a haircut--it was the lack of professionalism throughout the experience. A consultation for a major haircut should never feel rushed or happen publicly while a stylist is still working on another client. I walked in excited for an appointment I had waited weeks for and left feeling embarrassed instead. To make matters worse, no one from the salon reached out afterward to ask what happened or try to resolve the situation. Instead, I found that Jess had blocked me on her professional Instagram account. I genuinely believe Jess is a talented stylist, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, great technical skill doesn't make up for poor communication and a client experience that left me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.
