The worker i approached was rude and said if I wasn't on her account she couldn't help me. Excuse me this is general information. She could have showed me with my account. She just decided and made no effort to understand my need. I went a head and googled it. Easy Peasy. I am use to getting help from Sandy or Milwaukie. Understand I needed general information. I already had a check and was holding onto a number of documents. I was clearly upset. If an employee has made somebody frustrated they could check with another employee or figure out a work around. I won't go back into Happy Valley branch of Onpoint. Two other experiences with rude staff.

Recently, after paying off my car loan, was told by the rep on phone they have mailed my tittle. I reached out multiple times and even visited the Happy Valley branch, where I was assured the title was mailed on July 30, 2024. It has been over five weeks, and I still have not received it. It's frustrating that while they charge interest promptly, they fail to deliver on their promises. Sending such an important document like a car title through an unsecured mail method is unacceptable. How much did it cost to mail it? A mere 50 cents for a stamp? It feels like once we pay off the loan, they no longer care about our paperwork. Given that I still have a mortgage with their bank, I am very concerned about how they handle the title for my house when the time comes. Well... i never received my car tittle. Then I've been told I have to visit the bank again to get a lien waiver and then go to the DMV, at my own expense, to retrieve a title that was lost due to their carelessness. Updated, it costs $99 to get a new tittle. I submitted a message asked for solution, no such an apology, the rep said lien waiver is same as tittle. Do you see people drive with lien waiver, do you pay for my time do go get a new tittle, do u pay me fee. They to.d me they have two options mail or client can pick up tittle at branch. Why didn't your people freaking tell me that options when we paid off? The rep asked me what they could do for me? You could do a damn thing... such a terrible service. Its their horrible process.

We had automatic payment set up from an Onpoint checking account to an Onpoint auto loan. For…read morewhatever reason, the automatic payments did not go through for 3 months in a row. Frankly, we didn't notice because the account is dedicated to paying the loan, and we don't look at it all the time. Instead of contacting us immediately to let us know the payments didn't go through, they let us go on for 3 months then affected my credit report by 60 points. The customer service representatives refused to help me or reverse the report even though we always made payments previously and made the late payments as soon as we found out the originals did not go through. Which was only after looking at my credit report. They never notified us. They insist notices were sent in the mail, but we never received them. This is horrible customer service. Had we been alerted via a simple phone call, email, or message in the online banking portal, this would have been resolved immediately. Now my credit has significantly dropped, and the negative report will be on my credit for the next 7 years. Onpoint Community Credit Union needs to start contacting customers immediately when a loan payment is missed via phone call, email, and messages on the online banking portal. This used to be a great credit union; now it is worse than a big bank. We are paying the loan off early and closing our accounts with them as soon as possible. Put your money elsewhere.

I had to send them notes to check cameras at ATMs and provide them documentation they should have gathered if there was any research done. Didn't seem to have interest in making a difficult time any easier. Be weary of their fraud department and don't take their word for anything, do your research if you have been defrauded as the internet provides much more info then OnPoint's fraud dept.

Changing banks isn't a small feat so I did a lot of research before moving over to OnPoint CU from…read moreWells Fargo. Unfortunately my early experience wasn't great. While I was attracted to the no fees bank accounts (compared to WF who charges $15-$30 a month for every account), I didn't realize that the bank would put holds on my deposits, sometimes up to 10 business days, or that making deposits using their mobile app leads to longer hold times on deposits. Worse yet, when my business and personal accounts were set up I didn't have online banking ready (you're required to activate it only in the branch). I immediately started using my debit cards, though -- only to find a month in that both of my debit cards were linked to my business account. A month in and my business account was a mess. When I went into the branch to resolve the situation, I shared that my experience to date wasn't building much trust in the bank (very calmly and respectfully), and was immediately sent to the waiting area because I was "being difficult." A little empathy goes a long way in the service industry. I wouldn't recommend OnPoint. The bank feels very mom and pop, which in this day/age of tech just doesn't work.
