And we were happy to see that Glik's was open on our most recent trip, considering everything going on with COVID-19. We strived to be safe on this trip and take proper precautions. This involved during a quick trip to downtown Hayward. And we found that Glik's has put up a plexiglass barrier at the register, to help protect staff and guests. The dressing rooms were also closed to guests. This did provide some difficulty when it came to deciding what to buy, but I understand why they did this. Holding up a shirt to myself while looking in a mirror gave me an idea, and happily, the shirt fit when I got home and tried it on. The owner/manager was there when we visited. She's always been friendly when we've seen her. Happy to find that this is the same Glik's, with some extra precautions in place.

If you're a fan of Forever 21 or H&M you definitely will like this store. It's geared to the younger set and has reasonably fashionable items at good prices. As a super bonus, they sell Toms shoes. It is REAL 50s & 60s vintage, not costumes and not 80's 90's. I purchased: Plaid wool pants, plaid mini skirt, blue wool jumper dress, black evening wear dress with matching jacket and a peach silk dress with matching full length jacket. Clearly the shop buyers have very good taste! Prices are less than vintage shops in Minneapolis.

We should not have been singled out simply because our Physician allows us the medical exemption to the mask mandate due to our medical condition. The local toy store, shirt/print stores, candy stores, other boutiques and even Walmart recognize some people have cannot wear masks and allowed us to shop; that is why there are exceptions to the rule. Not only did they loose our almost $100 purchase today they lost all our future business. As the 4th & 5th generation of a family with property in the area for over 60 years, and a former resident myself, we love giving our business to local proprietors. Now none of our family will shop here until this business closes down. Signed, disappointed.

No cost-oriented outdoorsman would pay their prices. (For example, $75 for a flannel. Seriously?)
