We had our wedding at Stone Crest Cellars in August 2016. We are so incredibly happy with the venue and their coordination of all the wedding details; it was a wonderful day and we wouldn't have changed a thing. We planned our West Coast wedding from the East Coast and selected this venue sight unseen. When I first read their marketing material describing the package options (after going through information from countless other venues), I know that there was something unique about this venue and felt that it would be a good fit for us. We wanted to avoid a cookie-cutter wedding in an impersonal hotel ballroom and wanted to have a unique and intimate event in a very special venue, so this was a perfect match and we went for it. We had the Signature Wedding Package with 45 guests. Judy was incredibly responsive, helpful and reliable during the entire planning process. Again, because of our location and that we were not able to make it to Oregon in person during the planning process, it was extremely valuable to us to have someone like Judy in charge of coordinating all details. The choices presented for the various wedding details were always very clear and our decisions were followed to a tee.
A few detailed comments:
-- Location: The venue itself is stunning, the house is beautiful and the ceremony location overlooks the ocean offering a fantastic view to all guests. The trees around protect the location from the wind, which helps with the slightly cooler Oregon Coast weather in the summer. The trees and cliff edge around the garden also provide a very beautiful backdrop for photographs, which our photographer took full advantage of and yielded amazing pictures.
-- Food: The buffet at our wedding was absolutely amazing. We selected the filet mignon with peppercorn sauce, halibut with tropical fruit salsa, herb roasted potatoes, organic spring mix with strawberries, and various delicious appetizers. So many of our guests continue to compliment us on the food to this day. I found the quality of the food to be better than some of the plated dinners that I have had at other weddings. The presentation was beautiful and the food was cooked to perfection -- Judy's husband is a fantastic chef! Judy was also kind enough to arrange kids meals for the little ones and it worked out perfectly.
-- Drinks: Their wine and beer selection is excellent, with both local and international offerings. We were really pleased with all of the Oregon wines that we selected and the beers were also excellent. A variety of non-alcoholic options were available and guests who did not want to toast with champagne were offered sparkling cider.
-- Day-Of Coordination: Judy is exceptionally talented and professional and I was so impressed by her coordination of the entire event. I never had to worry about announcements or what would be happening next; Judy made sure bride and groom were in the right place at the right time. Judy is so detail oriented that she immediately stepped in to take over when she saw that I was starting to help a few of our older guests with getting their meals from the buffet.
-- Quality: The flowers, decor, linens, sound system (both ceremony and reception), and of course the food and drink (as mentioned above), were all very high quality and everything looked beautiful and exactly the way that we were hoping and had picturing during the planning process.
-- Choice: They have packages available for many different sizes and price points. We were so happy with the package we selected and found that it offered excellent value for money.
-- Ease/Efficiency: For those of us that are planning a wedding from afar, it would have been impossible to put together such a beautiful wedding had we had to coordinate with the various vendors (music, flowers, tables/chairs, dinnerware, catering, etc.) by ourselves. It is clear that Judy has a close network of top quality vendors and it works together flawlessly. We did provide our own officiant and photographer because we already had a preference, but otherwise Judy took care of everything else.
-- General Awesomeness: Judy and her team were so accommodating for anything that we needed that day (and also answered our hundreds of questions during the planning). At some point I left the upstairs room where we were getting ready and went downstairs (already done with hair and makeup) and suddenly realized that the groom had entered the living room. I was quickly ushered to a side door and told I could go around the outside stairs to go back to the upstairs room -- it worked perfectly and the groom did not see me ;) Phew!
We are so thankful to Judy and her team for giving us the wedding of our dreams. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, special and top-notch day.
