On Friday I sent a follow up message in the am. No response. I called around 3 and was told by doctors Assistant that the covering physician would send over later that night. It is now Saturday, no prescription as been sent. Guess I'll call again on Monday. 8/14/22 Update They do not answer messages on the portal. They do have a new answering system that forwards call to their doctors assistant to leave a message but still no call backs. I do not understand why communication is so difficult for this company. I would love to change my primary provider; however, initial visit wait times are close to a year for other faculties. Guess I am stuck for now. While my doctor is amazing, the office staff is outrageously rude and abhorrent. When calling for any reason expect to be on hold for 20-50 minutes. When they finally get around to answering your call they will then immediately hang up on you. When you call back, should you be so lucky to get someone on the phone, if you complain about the hold/hang up, they will rudely explain it is their automated system, not the office. They have had this "automated system" for about 4 years now. I have been complaining about it for four years. No wonder they have such low rantings. They must not care about their outdated, useless technology, or are hiring shit staff. It should not take less time to drive to my doctor's office, visit the staff, drive home, then it does call waiting

You then leave a voicemail to have someone call you back. They may or may not ca you back that day. Then, they'll tell you to use the online portal to schedule appointments and message your doctor, of which neither functionality is available. The only appointments you can make online are for the urgent care center, which isn't helpful. Then, your primary doctor will be unavailable and you'll have to follow up with one of their physician assistants. I like my doctor, but their patient satisfaction needs some work here. Not a good place if you need long term follow up from a primary care provider.

This is a family practice of gastroenterologists. It consists of the father (who has been practicing Gastroenterology for many, many years and really ought to retire) and his two sons. Each time I arrived for an appointment it was a gamble on which doctor I would see, usually one of the two brothers, Nick or Nithin, but I could never be sure. The office itself leaves much to be desired. The building is right next to the Woonsocket Sewer Treatment facility and at certain times of the year can smell horrible. Upon entering the office, the décor is the opposite of welcoming, featuring mismatched and ripped old chairs, a dirty secretary window, and a tiny old television mounted in the corner (this should have been a red flag). Nearing the end of my time as a patient at this practice, they did replace the secretary with a nice and competent woman but for the majority of my time as a patient here, the previous secretary and medical assistant were an absolute nightmare. I actually had money stolen from me. I paid my $25 co-pay with $40, was handed a folded $5 bill as my change and failed to notice until the next day. The medical assistant also had to give me change during another visit and stared at the change envelope for a few minutes until I offered to help her count out my change. She also struggled with using any of the equipment in the office (granted all of the equipment was extremely dated). At least they were able to somewhat diagnose my condition, but this was only after 2 intrusive procedures and a pill cam. Not being a huge complainer, I found myself visiting the practice time and time again and explaining how I felt the medicine they had put me on was not helping and in fact making me feel worse. Each time these concerns were silenced and answered with an "it just needs a little more time to start working" explanation. I followed suit until I suffered a horrible flare last summer. I visited this practice 3 times in a week insisting something was seriously wrong and FINALLY got the hint they didn't have a clue, when the father and oldest doctor at the practice told me to try some "Activia" yogurt. I HAVE BEEN LACTOSE INTOLERANT FOR OVER 2 YEARS! Immediately after leaving this final appointment I contacted my amazing family doctor and was on my way to the Miriam Hospital within hours. The rest is history now but I have mentioned my experience to others and have heard similarly disturbing stories about this practice. Do not learn the hard way like I did!

I would give no stars were it an option. I was referred by Landmark Hospital for biliary colic…read more The office is dirty and outdated. A small analog television, mismatched chairs, and dirty receptionist window serve as the focal points of the waiting room. The receptionists were perfectly pleasant, although seemed unhappy -- now I know why. Poor women. Dr. Karanth, the elder, brings new meaning to poor bedside manner. He listened to absolutely nothing I said. I think he told me to stop drinking soda five times. I don't drink soda. He told me not to eat sweets. I don't like desserts to the point where it's a joke among family and friends. Then he told me I should eat wheat bread and asked if I knew what kind that was. I'm not exaggerating. He also informed me I was constipated after I told him I had no problems in that department, in fact, lately the problem is going too much. Then he prescribed me something similar to Prilosec for the stomach acid I don't have... ...and some medicine for the IBS I had ruled out four years ago. He also insulted my tattoos, asked if I were a "real teacher," and acted like it was a Christmas miracle that yes, I'm a real live English teacher. Oh yes...the ripped and duct taped patient table was a grand touch. I left crying and confused. It was awful. Absolutely terrible. My primary care dr saw me three hours later and gave me another referral.
