Many meat products are the same, not very fresh. I have thrown away meat before because it smelled pretty strong once I got it home and opened it up. Overall the prices are high and they justify that since this is a "remote" area according to one employee that overheard me talking about high prices. He seemed almost offended I dared to comment on high prices and spent a few minutes scolding and informing me on the matter. Tourists may think no big deal, but it sure stinks when this is our only option as a resident in Montpelier. After today's experience, I will no longer shop at any Broulim's no matter how convenient they may be and I will instead go to Soda Springs (22 miles) to an alternative store.
