By American standards this is considered to be a huge mall with 8 levels and all sorts of shoppes and restaurants. As you enter the mall via the parking garage you realize that the mall has plenty of parking with several levels and every parking spot is in vicinity to the entrance of the mall. Remember to note down the level and where you parked as that can get confusing. Also parking is free for the first 3 hours and it is ticket less with your car number plate being your ticket. As I mentioned the mall has 8 levels with a couple of food courts on different level and many of the favorites like Starbucks and Gloria jeans that mall shoppers can't live without anywhere in the world. Most of the stores are the same like in the USA but the one difference that I saw was that the malls also have a huge box store where you can shop for your daily needs. We usually don't see a Walmart or Publix in a mall in Florida.

Parking is…read morequite easy (covered and outdoor parking) and there are parking spaces nearer the mall which have a 3 hour time limit on it, the rest will be for as long as you need. Parking is still free which is useful. You get a good mix of fashion retail shops, food, supermarket and departmental stores. While the mall hours are the usual 9am to 5pm or thereabouts, the supermarkets (Coles and Woolworths) and Target and K-Mart open earlier and close later at 10pm. I must confess I shop more at Target, K-Mart and supermarkets because of the hours. There is also a fish market which sells a large variety of fresh fish and seafood like lobster, crabs, prawns, oysters etc. The prices for raw oysters are also much lower than you will get in Sydney city. I love the coffee emporium which does a good coffee and hot chocolate and pastries. Simply perfect for a pick me up. The place is huge and does not feel claustrophobic crowded even when there are many people on a weekend. This is a decent mall with almost everything you need.

Not only do they have major stores like Myer, Target, Kmart, Best & Less and two major supermarkets Coles and Woolworths, they also have over 250 specialty stores! If you can't find what you're looking for here, then you won't be able to anywhere else. What is more inviting is that they have over 3000 outdoor and indoor FREE parking spaces for your convenience - you can't beat that! People near and far travel here because of the FREE parking. What impressed me the most, but only discovered it by luck really? They have thought ahead into the future, not only do they have solar panels and wind turbines, to reduce their carbon footprint, they have also installed FREE Electric Car ChargePoints! Yes... you read it correctly! I only discovered this hidden treasure during one of their busy times (their busiest times are during the festive seasons or public holidays) when I couldn't find an indoor parking, so I drove to the 'Level 5 Rooftop' car park. And there it was, four Electric Car ChargePoints - side-by-side for those who have electric cars. To make your shopping experience a lot more pleasurable, people with toddlers, may hire 'Kidz Kabs for FREE. For the adults who are disadvantaged with mobility, they too can hire Motorised Scooters or Wheelchairs for FREE as well. Just go to 'Customer Care' to hire one for the day. Of course after a full day of shopping, you would like to wind down, there are so many places you can do that and refuel at the same time. For those with children, try 'The Coffee Club' (located on Level 1) or 'Fibonacci Coffee' (located on Ground Level). Children will be busy entertaining themselves while playing at 'My Funland' area you can have that deserved break while watching them at the same time. Service? Unbeatable! With friendly, knowledgeable people and friendly service to go with their smiles! The latest addition (September 2016) at Stockland Shellharbour is this amazing 20 metre high mural completed by two artists - Claire Foxton and Mikey Freedom. They have brought colour to this place. Their mural is to represent the region, people and lifestyle - I believe they delivered just that. And just behind this amazing mural is the new additional dining precinct. Grill'd - must taste their amazing burgers, they cater for the vegetarians and meat eaters. I highly recommend you try their hot chips - don't know which one to choose? Why not try 'Chips Share Plate' where you get to have the potato, sweet potato and zucchini chips served with three chip dips - sweet chilli mayo, hot chilli mayo and herbed mayo. Then there's Lone Star Rib House where you can sink your teeth into mighty tasty steaks and ribs - so succulent and tender! Now I am waiting for the opening of Chong Co Thai Restaurant sometime in October - I cannot comment on their food but I'm pretty sure this new addition to the food precinct won't be a disappointment.

There are also a heap of ready made food outlets, Bread Top, Donut King and sushi, and also several cafes including a gozleme shop!!! (Which is also excellent) The food outlets have all opened in the last couple of months and there is a surprising range. There's also a $2 shop, nail salon, dentist, acupuncture place and Priceline. There is a Chinese grocer upstairs and I think the old Spotlight might still be there too. The reason the 5th star is missing from this review is the fruit n veg market. That place lacks a distinct standard of quality that Sydney Siders are used to, and frankly the fruit and veg there is appalling. I'm surprised it's survived and it really is the missing link in what would otherwise be the best shopping centre from Parra to Burwood - and it's quiet enough to always get a park (unlike the other 2 Westfields). Was searching for Apple store and chanced upon this shopping district…read more Parking was easy and it was free as there wasn't any parking meters or parking tickets to be hassled with. While strolling around, noticed that there is a cinema on site which had a few arcade games (time crisis, racing games), a store where they carries snacks & beverages as well as a small "cafe". I also noticed a food court and where it had a range of takeaways/dining options ranging from western food to asian fast foods. Tried sushiya and it was delicious. There are quite a range of departmental stores here. Decided to make a visit to Target to get "Bobble" water bottle and realized that this target is much bigger in size and range to what the Parramatta one has to offer. Service was friendly too. Walked up and down the whole three levels to see what other things the stores carry and there are quite a few gifts stores around and some other electronics related stores. There are two kinds of escalators here - one of which pushcarts could be used or the normal escalator. Service was also considerably well at the stores I visited. You could find a range of vending machines or slot-in coins for toys machines here. There are also a few cafes where you could sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Do make a visit if you are around.

I find a lot of these shopping centres to be sort of like a honey trap - they are easy to get…read moreinside, but can be a nightmare finding our way outside again, to the point that you end up wandering around in circles. Well, this was the case with this shopping centre, especially if you don' happen to own a car. The other thing is that the lifts from the carpark are awfully slow. However, on the bright side, they do have a nice area up on the roof which has been converted into an entertainment district.
