Do not work with them unless you have an unlimited budget......in that case, they'd be okay. I hired Stock & Associates for a commercial build-out of a 1200 sq ft rented office space. Project ran 100% over budget. Architectural plans were excellent. Project management was poor. Poor management of sub-contractors (meaning they no-showed and the project was left incomplete). There were no interior design elements executed because the project was over budget by more than $40,000. Instead of installing requested shelving, Shelley dropped off an unfinished wooden board and said "It's not rocket science. Figure it out." This is what I paid them 10% of total project costs for? They then refused to show me our signed contract, stating that the project was "too small" for a contract. The project exceeded $90,000 cash. My lawyer suggested grounds for suing since budget increases were never presented to me for approval, not verbally or in writing. I'm sure every project goes over budget, but it's how you handle it that counts. Stock & Associates receives a one star rating for lack of professionalism, among other things. read more
