Reviewing for the body shop:…read more I was involved in a minor accident. Not too familiar with the area, I came to Blaise off of the recommendation of the insurance agent. I called to set up an appointment around 2pm and was told by JR (body shop manager) that he could take me the very next day! I was so shocked and happy. I brought my car in the next morning. JR and the rest of the staff were very kind as I had no clue what I was really doing. JR called me when it was finished and even called the insurance company on my behalf to complete payment while I was attending class. When I picked up my car, it looked amazing. They washed it too - which was a nice bonus because even my own dealership won't do that unless I specifically ask! I was extremely thrilled with JR's service and the entire experience with Blaise. Thank you!

Anyway...we immediately contacted BLACK WALNUT for the repairs. The ease of calling and dropping off the vehicle was easy. ERIC the owner has kept us updated on the progress of the repairs. Eric called and suggested that a mechanic check the engine to ensure the truck would outlast the new paint job. (He did this on his own time) Now that's what I call REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I'm sharing some pictures of the damage and will share the OUTSTANDING RESULTS after the repairs. Thanks for taking care of us Eric, we truly appreciate your personal attention to detail * I didn't include all the photos

The people were very friendly and communicative throughout the repair. When I came to pick up my…read morecar, they had the car running and warmed up for me in the cold winter, which was very nice. They even added a quarter tank of gas, which was very welcome, especially since the previous repair shop I went to left me with a tank that was almost completely empty. Most importantly, their (beautiful) office has a very cute dog in it, which warrants five stars all by itself.

I had my 2012 Land Rover Evoque towed there because it would idle erratically and stall after the…read moreinitial warmup. Told him my code reader said most likely a PCV valve. He had it for 2+ weeks. When I went to check on it, he said he replaced the spark plugs, mass air flow sensor, replaced a bolt in the turbo and added oil, for a cost of $509 (negotiated down from $700) and he also acknowledged it did not make it run any better. Then he proceeded to tell me he thinks the turbo is going bad (mind you the turbo does nothing at idle speed). He never hooked it to a computer or checked the codes. I then had it towed back home. I ordered a PCV valve ($52 from FCP Euro) and vacuum pump gasket ($12, my suspected oil leak location). Replacing the two parts took me 3-4 hours in my garage. It has been 1 month and over 500 miles since the repair. No issues. Pretty disappointed that i spent $250 in towing, and over $500 in repairs for them to do shade tree mechanic diagnosis and repair. Also, when the car arrived back at my house the interior was filthy. The car had a tan/beige interior and the front seat and dash had oil and dirt stains all over them. DO NOT GO THERE.

Let me start off by saying this is my first review for anything... ever. I literally created this…read moreYelp account just so I could write a review because I'm so grateful for the work these people have done on my car. I drive a manual Toyota so when it comes to doing maintenance I go to Joel Confer Toyota. When my car started accelerating slowly I explained the problem to Toyota and they said, "it's probably just the cold weather." Seriously? Whatever... A few days later I needed to get the annual PA emissions inspection and I took it to Midas (also pleased with them) and they told me my clutch was slipping and recommended Pro-Trans. Toyota couldn't see me for 2 & 1/2 weeks and I really just couldn't wait that long with how severe my clutch was slipping so I took it to Pro-Trans for a diagnostic check. It was going to take a while so Dennis handled my account and Dale drove me home. The repair took about 3 days and Dennis called me regularly with updates. He spoke to me very respectfully and explained every problem clearly. As a girl who knows practically nothing about cars it's always assumed that someone at a repair shop is going to rip you off, but I know that the fine gentlemen at Pro-Trans aren't doing this. With every repair they said needed to be done I got price quotes from Toyota. Pro-Trans was less expensive than Toyota on a new clutch, new rear brakes, and throttle body cleaning. The only thing Toyota happened to be less expensive on was new spark plugs, and Pro-Trans was happy to meet me on the price that Toyota quoted. When it was time to pick up my car Dennis took me to the back, where Fred showed me the old clutch and rear brakes and explained how worn out they were. That's awesome service. To sum up, I'm completely blown away and pleased with the service I received from Pro-Trans and the condition of my car. My new clutch comes with a warranty and a free 500 mile check up. Who else offers this kind of service? I'll happily continue to come to Pro-Trans for all of my maintenance and repair needs.
