The very helpful person who took my order said that because of the short notice, the arrangement would be "designer's choice," which was fine with me. When I received a photo of the arrangement from my daughter, I was disappointed with the size in general and also the number of flowers. My daughter, however, was pleased and especially loved some of creative greeneries included. I sent a polite email to the florist and expressed my feeling that the arrangement did not look like the photos of similarly priced bouquets. I received a very quick response with an offer to immediately take another bouquet to her, even though they were done with deliveries for the day. The person who delivered the flowers to my daughter was very apologetic, which was embarrasing for my daughter because she liked the first bouquet too. I do not believe for a minute that the florist intended to deliver an inferior bouquet. It was just not what I expected. Perhaps I am "one of those" customers. I am writing this review because I am appreciative of their professionalism and the obvious pride they take in their work. In the future I am going to happily and confidently order from them again. I'm from Hawaii, but I live in Colorado and my Maui Ohana and so many others recommended this florist. The arrangement including the stand, banner, tax, and delivery (Wailuku to Keokea) with photo updates was $576. Totally worth it for the peace of mind and a quality experience. Many recommended this Maui florist because they do exceptional work, detailed, and make sure every arrangement is unique, one of a kind and made with ALOHA. I placed the order over the phone and through an online portal (time diff) a week out from the funeral date. The attention to detail was truly amazing, and you could genuinely feel the Aloha and care that went into creating the arrangement. It was clear that they put so much thought, heart, and pride into their work, and the finished flowers were absolutely beautiful. After they created the most stunning arrangement Will sent a photo. It was stunning and perfect way to honor someone special. They also kindly offered to share a photo after it's delivered to the service. Being 3000 miles away I am so grateful for this service and their thoughtfulness. I will definitely share the arrangement photo with the friends and family here in Colorado. Ordering funeral flowers out of state can be nerve-racking, but I'm so grateful that this particular arrangement is in the best hands. Also, I want to note that I also placed this flower order during a really challenging time for the islands and Hawai'i community (Sept 2026). Ordering the flower arrangement, scheduling the delivery, and paying for it via Fernhouse's website was easy, and I received the requested text message the next day when the order was fulfilled. When my friend sent me a pic of the flowers and thanked me for the gift, I became infuriated! The flower arrangement that was delivered BARELY resembled the photo of the arrangement I ordered. I am well aware that some flowers and fillers are seasonal and, at times, might not be available. But, I would expect a florist to remove the item from the website and/or contact the buyer when the greater majority of the flowers needed are unavailable. Among the differences: The sales pic shows 2 Birds of Paradise; my order contained 1. The sales pic shows beautiful red/orange roses and similarly warm-colored filler flowers (that are orchid-like); my order contained yellow pompoms and zinnia. The vibe is completely different. The flowers that were used are, in my opinion, of a lower caliber than what I was sold. Additionally, the arrangement that was delivered was by no means as full/rich as the specimen in the sales pic. Bottom line: what I paid for is very different from what was delivered, and (to me) this borders on "bait & switch." Additionally, had the arrangement that was delivered been shown on their website, I would NOT have considered paying $95 for it; mind you...that's $95 before tax, tip and delivery.

In addition to this, it was soon discovered that her niece had a rare form of cancer, and soon after passed away. I am on Oahu and was able to call Maui Green Gardens and was able to speak with the owner, Quirino Hipoloti. Over the phone I ordered a Puakenikeni tree from his nursery to commemorate my friends niece and he hand delivered it to her doorstep.
