I was pleased enough until I received flowers from my son & one of the bird of paradise blooms only lasted two days despite immediate and daily watering. This happens occasionally, so I didn't blame the shop particularly, but I placed a call to let them know, expecting that bloom to be replaced. There was no answer, though it was during business hours, so I left a detailed message. My call was never returned. Evidently a less than satisfactory arrangement or flowers that are not delivered fresh are not of concern to the owners. She was dismissive at best- first she told me that she didn't make traditional sympathy arrangements- and I said that was fine and that I had selected a tropical arrangement from the website. The best Lei on the islands, bar none. My husband stopped 5 places on Mother's Day to get me a lei. It being Mother's Day.. it wasn't possible. UNTIL we got to Kapalua Florist and met Malia, who said, "well we're sold out, but if you can wait...." While I waited I watched, and we chatted and 20 minutes later I now only had the most beautiful lei I'd ever seen, but I also felt like I'd made an old friend. After months of searching for a florist for my wedding I found one. The two main reasons I chose Napili Florist was the pricing and honesty. At first I wanted a specific type of orchids and lilies which they could provide but weren't in season and the cost was pretty much out of my budget. They gave me other suggestions yet were still able to incorporate the flowers I really wanted (not as many) Megumi was my main point of contact and I sent her a few pictures of what I wanted my bouquet to look like and it was perfect. Plus it smelled divine. It held up for a few weeks after the wedding and on the flight home, the whole plane smelt like orchids and lilies. It's interesting to read some of these reviews and see who they serve with great customer service and not. Stopped in looking for a lei po'o for a 25th birthday and some leis to get made. Walked in and asked if they could have some made and immediately was told that leis are not made fresh and have to be shipped in. The shop owner and her partner were very rude and spoke to me in a condescending tone and manner. As I was walking out told me that I would not be able to find them as they are not made fresh again. Well I took my business elsewhere and found Brittney at Haku Maui. One of the best experiences I've had in getting all my lei needs met and she had them done within a few hours! Word of advice, support locals not just local shops. The day before our wedding, we stopped by the florist to confirm the items that we ordered over the telephone (wedding bouquet, one bride hairpiece, and three bridesmaid hairpieces). Debbie (I think that is her name) confirmed our order and asked a few followup questions regarding the hairpieces. She let us know that we can save a little bit of money by buying loose flowers/orchids to have the hair stylist pin onto our hair, instead of having the florist making individual hairpieces. And she said the money we save can be applied to some loose rose petals and orchids to sprinkle on the ground at our wedding location. She wasn't out to nickle and dime us.
