The photo samples I sent, my descriptions and our conversations made it was very clear that I wanted low & long flowers in a specific color palette. Did not expect to see long stems at all as we wanted it low. I even gave approx dimensions. This was months before the wedding. We had also agreed on delivery an hour before the event to the Ritz Carlton. I have to say I was very disappointed. I got TALL arched flowers (20-24 inches tall), lots of stems showing in very small disposable florist planters and not really the colors we discussed. Flower were not on the table until 15 min before the event (I had to call 2x). I was very, very disappointed. I did text the owner to let her know and was basically gaslighted......What's interesting is the venue wanted me to use their florist, but I insisted on Sunyas b/c I was so confident we had really agreed on everything. I don't think doing all their business through texting is the best idea. When I…read morelooked at the offerings from Fernhouse I was immediately struck by the artistry of design which wasn't cookie-cutter like so many others. Ordering the flower arrangement, scheduling the delivery, and paying for it via Fernhouse's website was easy, and I received the requested text message the next day when the order was fulfilled. When my friend sent me a pic of the flowers and thanked me for the gift, I became infuriated! The flower arrangement that was delivered BARELY resembled the photo of the arrangement I ordered. I am well aware that some flowers and fillers are seasonal and, at times, might not be available. But, I would expect a florist to remove the item from the website and/or contact the buyer when the greater majority of the flowers needed are unavailable. Among the differences: The sales pic shows 2 Birds of Paradise; my order contained 1. The sales pic shows beautiful red/orange roses and similarly warm-colored filler flowers (that are orchid-like); my order contained yellow pompoms and zinnia. The vibe is completely different. The flowers that were used are, in my opinion, of a lower caliber than what I was sold. Additionally, the arrangement that was delivered was by no means as full/rich as the specimen in the sales pic. Bottom line: what I paid for is very different from what was delivered, and (to me) this borders on "bait & switch." Additionally, had the arrangement that was delivered been shown on their website, I would NOT have considered paying $95 for it; mind you...that's $95 before tax, tip and delivery.

In fact, all of my friends and family told me that it must've been the most stressful time of my life. They were wrong. What they didn't know was that I had the most incredible wedding coordinator that any bride could ever hope for. Darren was extremely easy and so pleasant to work with. My husband and I are from California and we had never met Darren in person nor did we see our wedding venue before we decided on both. We spoke to several wedding planning groups and knew Darren was the one after the very first conversation. He's local to the island and his knowledge about the industry is truly unmatched. We were working with Darren for just about a year and a half before our big day came. From the communication to the organization, to the small details and sentimental touches, Darren and his team were able to make our special day everything that I could ever imagine since I was a little girl. Darren was kind, considerate, respectful, genuine, and more! He puts you first and all of your ideas and concerns before anything else. I can't think of one thing that made wedding planning stressful, all thanks to him. I really had the best time planning because he made it all so fun! We met him in person about six months before the wedding. He walked us around the venue, showed us how the layout would be organized and after, we went to lunch to discuss some of the smaller and larger details. We instantly trusted him and never once doubted him because we knew that he would make everything just so perfect. Our wedding day completely proved that. Not once did we have to worry that something wouldn't be done. It was impossible to be "Bridezilla" with Darren on your side. From the moment we arrived at the venue to the minute we left, Darren took care of every single thing. He made sure that we were always having fun, that we always had a beverage in our hand and that we were fed. He consistently checked in while coordinating the entire day (don't ask me how he does it). He was so considerate of our time with our friends and family and really blew everybody away with all the magic he was able to create. Not only was Darren our wedding coordinator but he was also our florist. Hands down, best decision we have ever made! The florals were absolutely breathtaking. I shared my visions with Darren and he made everything I ever wanted come to life. The colors, the style, and type of flowers was everything I dreamt of. All the arrangements were as if you took it from a magazine or movie. They were so picturesque and vibrant. It has been almost 2 months since the wedding and until this day we are still getting compliments and people asking to do it all over again because it was the best wedding they had ever been to. As a bride and groom, hearing your guests say your wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended is the utmost, best compliment you can ever receive. Not only do you want to feel like your wedding day was the most special and perfect day of your life, but to hear your guests communicate it makes everything a million times better. We can honestly say that thanks to Darren Keala, our wedding day was truly the BEST day of our lives. We can't say it enough but we really wish there was a rewind button! All in all, Darren gave us more than we could ever ask for and we will forever be grateful. The memories continuously replay in our heads over and over again and make us smile every time we think about it. Our wedding day felt like a true fairy tale. In the end, we also gained ourselves a life long friend! If you're looking for an event coordinator, Events by Darren Keala will be the best decision you ever make, you have my word.

We ordered our wedding flowers through Napili Florist...they were absolutely WONDERFUL!!! Debbie and Gary were very patient and helpful to us while we picked out our flowers. We corresponded alot via email; they were always prompt on getting back to us with answers to our questions. On our wedding day, I couldn't believe how gorgeous the flowers were!!! They were so fresh and of great quality! My purple orchid and white rose bridal bouquet was absolutely PERFECT!!! My husband, my dad's and our groomsmen has LOVELY orchid and white rose boutonnieres!!! And our bridesmaids had BEAUTIFUL fresh orchid bouquets!!! We also bought a few bags of loose orchids for our flower girl to toss into the sand. Our bridesmaids and flower girl also used some of the loose orchids for their hair. We had our flowers delivered right to our condo, which was so nice. I am writing a review for a local Lahaina florist, "A Special Touch"…read moreIt is indeed special. I was so delighted with our beautiful arrangements I would like to acknowledge the company and recommend the service. We were retuning to Maui to stay at the Kaanapali Alii for 10 glorious days. May 24 is my birthday and my husband wanted to order some local flower arrangements for the condo: a smaller one for the bedroom and a larger one for the living area. I called the concierge before arrival to inquire about a florist they could recommend, she immediately told me about A Special Touch. She said that the owner does exquisite flower arrangements with local flowers. They were delivered five minutes after we arrived at our condo and I was so impressed by how beautiful they were, I had to acknowledge and recommend this special Lahaina florist. I was directed to their website so that I could cruise the different kind of arrangements and price ranges. There were a lot of different selections and they all looked gorgeous. When I called to place the order, I asked the owner which would best fit our space and our tastes. Upon her suggestion, we ordered the "Hawaiin Stlyle Tropical Centerpiece" and the "Jewel Tone Tropical Centerpiece" The prices were quite reasonable and we spent $222.00 for both including delivery. Anyone who loves flowers would appreciate the variety of local flowers and the exquisite arrangement. So I can wholeheartedly recommend this florist for all of your flower deliveries. I would recommend you check out the website before you order in order to choose the arrangement best for you. I want to preface that I'm not the one that paid for the order and I was just helping a friend here in CO order funeral flower arrangements for a beloved Maui family. The arrangement including the stand, banner, tax, and delivery (Wailuku to Keokea) with photo updates was $576. Totally worth it for the peace of mind and a quality experience. Many recommended this Maui florist because they do exceptional work, detailed, and make sure every arrangement is unique, one of a kind and made with ALOHA. I placed the order over the phone and through an online portal (time diff) a week out from the funeral date. The attention to detail was truly amazing, and you could genuinely feel the Aloha and care that went into creating the arrangement. It was clear that they put so much thought, heart, and pride into their work, and the finished flowers were absolutely beautiful. After they created the most stunning arrangement Will sent a photo. It was stunning and perfect way to honor someone special. They also kindly offered to share a photo after it's delivered to the service. Being 3000 miles away I am so grateful for this service and their thoughtfulness. I will definitely share the arrangement photo with the friends and family here in Colorado. Ordering funeral flowers out of state can be nerve-racking, but I'm so grateful that this particular arrangement is in the best hands. Also, I want to note that I also placed this flower order during a really challenging time for the islands and Hawai'i community (Sept 2026). They have been hit multiple times with tropical storms and hurricanes so to see the quality of the flowers being so incredibly beautiful really made my heart so happy. I'm so grateful for the care and personal attention Jermer gave to our order. Boo.), so I wanted to send them a bouquet of local flowers to remind them that I wish I could be there and that I was thinking of them. I shopped around for florists online, and found Maui Blooms' prices to be, by far, the most reasonable. I placed an order for a $50 arrangement, and, given my previous experiences with florists, I expected that that price may get me one or two flowers and some shrubbery. A few hours after I placed my order, I called Maui Blooms, just to verify that everything was in order. The lady with whom I spoke could NOT have been sweeter or more pleasant. She wished me a Merry Christmas in Hawaiian, and laughed along with me when I replied, "Um...you too? I think? What does that mean?" She thanked me profusely for my order (in Hawaiian, of course. Loved it.), and said that they were about to close for the day, but if it was really important, she would be willing to send someone out with the delivery that day. How nice is that??? I assured her that the next day was just fine. She then told me that the personal message I had written to be included with the arrangement was a little long for the small note cards they usually attach to their flowers, so she was going to PERSONALLY TYPE IT UP AND PRINT IT OUT. What?!?! Really?!?! Maui Blooms really has this customer service thing down, and many other businesses could learn a lot from them. Small acts of kindness and accommodation are the things that motivate me to continually patronize a business for years. Anyhoo, when I got a picture of the arrangement from my boyfriend, I was beyond pleasantly surprised. It was huge and gorgeous, and much more than I expected for the money I paid (see picture). They included the printed note I had written the family, as well as one of their usual notecards inscribed, on my behalf, "Aloha, From Lindsay". So adorable. I don't live anywhere near Maui, but should I ever again have the occasion to purchase flowers there, I will march my happy ass straight to Maui Blooms. A big thank you to the staff at MB!!!

She was so kind, accommodating, and genuinely helped us put our money towards things that were necessary. We could tell that Terrie was working from her heart and not from a place of profits or just sales; which meant the world to us because we were already wayyyy over our wedding budget. She worked extremely hard to make sure we were happy; we felt bad that she would even take our calls after hours and while she was in her car. Every time we spoke to her it felt like family or as they say in Hawaii "Ohana." We wanted something super simple that complimented the natural beauty of the flowers and trees that were already at our venue..."I mean it is Maui," and that's exactly what she did. TERRIE ASKED US A REALLY GOOD QUESTION. Although we didn't have a bridal party for our wedding, she suggested boutonnieres and wrist corsages for our parents and siblings, and we originally opted out.
