They have over 200 types of ribbons, and beautiful buttons, and lots of craft tools. But the felt! Oh the felt! They have a great range of felt - both loose felt for needle felting and felt sheets, in lovely colours. I bought a lovely gift card too - they have a good range of beautiful designs. This is easily the best stocked craft shop I've been in - it's so much better than anywhere in Glasgow. I would actually come here from Glasgow in order to buy craft goods. It's that good.

And laying eyes on something that I wanted to buy for myself? That would be inevitable! With a selection of work from local artists and designers, Made in Stirling is a pleasure to browse. It's also really nice that it's the artists and designers featured who regularly work in the shop. When I visited there was a lovely lady who made lampshades with beautiful paper silhouette designs of Stirling. Whenever you pop in, if you're in the mood for talking, you're going to hear something interesting. But don't worry if you're not, staff will leave you to browse as you fancy. I'm one of those people who likes to buy lots of little gifts for friends as opposed to one large one. And I really could buy all my little gifts here. There's handmade soap, jewellery, silk scarves, paintings, candles; basically the perfect combination! (I'm seriously in love with the little Harris Tweed purses. I bought my friend one and had to show serious restraint not to buy one for myself! - They're gorgeous!) You get that super special feeling you get only when you're supporting someone creative locally whose doing their thing, with the added bonus that you're buying an awesome hand-crafted item that isn't available on the high street. this shop has actually moved to the high street, falkirk. it is in the old co-op building opposite…read morethe entrance to the callander square shopping centre. they have a sale on at the moment and i was in looking for a new duvet set, they had a huge selection of some weird and wonderful colours, so they would have something to suit everyone. they were at a great price too. when paying for the item, there was only 1 girl serving, but she really was lovely, she appologised for the wait. i also asked if i could leave my purchases with her as i still had some shopping to do and that was fine, so all in all, it was a good experience. they have all sorts of other home wares on sale too.

They show a range of mediums, from basket makers to jewellers! They seemingly take pride in showing variety and at any one time you will be able to see a number of works from different artists, often themed. When I visited there were a few artists on display (the work that is, not the people). It was all okay, some of it interesting, some of it not really my thing. A significant portion was taken up by bronze and bronze resin sculptures by and artist named Sophie Howard. Technically they looked impressive at least. It's hard to review a place like this based solely on its temporary displays. All I can say is I was impressed by its variation. The staff there were really nice and generally enjoyed browsing around. It is a bit small but they make the most of their space. Definitely somewhere worth checking out again.
