My husband usually writes reviews. I'm writing as his wife about my disappointment. He is a disabled Veteran. He tries to stay active and work on projects. If you know a Veteran you know! He went in a week ago to Natchitoches Stines and asked to have a couple 2x4's cut in half. He has done this before at Lowe's in Leesville and at the Home Depot in Alex. Never has anyone charged him. He asked why they would charge when competitors do not. They got a female manager outside who said if you don't like it don't buy wood here. You already got a good deal right? Meaning his Military Discount. He said he has never been treated this way and other men pulled him aside and said sorry man that's how she is. Next time just come over here and we will be happy to make cuts for ya. This is a policy? Is this just an unhappy manager? Is she anti Military or anti Veteran? Either way it's not like I can shop here in good faith anymore. I have a house and a cabin we have been working on, spent a bunch so far and was about to buy exterior paint for both. Now I cannot just because I support the Military and Vets. I don't want them to be mistreated and still support this company. It needs addressed! read more

Where to begin? - Poor customer service - Employee that I talked to on the phone was not aware that the company that she works for sells building supplies. - No one knows how to use a computer to look up supplies in their inventory. - Employees in the warehouse do not know how to measure square footage. It is best to just drive to Alexandria or Leesville and save yourself the headache. Places like Lowes and Home Depot have what you need and are willing to help. read more

There are not any other large chain home improvement stores in the area. Everything you need is at the store. My issue was pricing. I needed a water heater. The size I needed was $350.00. I found one a hour away with a larger capacity for $279.00. The store has what you need, but be prepared for sticker shock. read more

Pitiful customer service. To many occasions to list, but most recently, called about some posts for fencing. Employee told me they did have them in stock. I drove close to an hour to get there just to find they did not have posts. I was directed to contractor sales to where I was rudely told they do not have the posts and don't know where/when they could get them. I talked to manager and was apologized too/given gift card. On next occasion, I went in to look for an exterior door, or to see if I could order one. No one was able/or willing to help me. The last straw was when I called, out of desperation, looking for square bales of straw for kids hayride, and was told by employee on phone that they had 12 in stock, I asked for visual verification in which she asked me to hold on so she could. I was told that she checked and they did have them in stock. When I got to the store.......yep you guessed it, "well the computer says we have it in stock".........I will NEVER step foot back in this store again and will advise anyone else to steer clear as well...... read more
