It is a bit pricey, expect to pay around $140 for a family of four. They charge $3 extra per pair of glasses that enhance the effects. I'd recommend saving money and only buying one or two pairs for a family or group. You won't want to wear them full time anyway and can just take turns viewing specific exhibits with the glasses on. They also offer military discount. Like others have said, the staff doesn't really explain how to do the puzzle. We didn't end up doing it but, but it seems to be some clues hidden in each room to solve a mystery such as reading the Mayor's emails on the computer on his desk. Its like walking through an old school point and click computer game and finding clues. Other World is definitely fun experience for kids and adults. Its expensive but worth trying once. I am not sure why people would get annual passes but they sell them.

this place is trippy af!…read more i ended up on a date here a few weeks ago and this was a really nice spot. the colorful and artsy nature makes this place a hellvua place if you are an adult over 21 who prefers to be..... under the influence -- of happiness and joyful experiences; or if you are compelled to imbibe in mind enhancing substances. i found this was not the best place for smaller kids. although i saw a lot of chicks with babies. some even in swaddlers -- like newborns. imo-- kids maybe 8 and up will really enjoy the colorful and cool nature of the rooms. i enjoyed the ability to touch everything and take the full experience. the rooms were way cool and the concept is really quite amazing. these large scale interactive pieces really made the exhibits quite fun! my favorite room was the hair room iykyk! all in all i really enjoyed the venue, the location was in a great spot and there was ample free parking. we stayed for about 4 hours which was plenty of time to take it all in! Getting in was easy enough despite the crowds, with plenty of staff on hand to keep the line moving and tickets scanned quickly. The real draw, of course, is the lantern displays. They're beautifully crafted and surprisingly diverse, ranging from insects and flowers to more Philadelphia-themed exhibits tied to the city's 250th anniversary and major sporting events. There are well over a dozen displays spread throughout Franklin Square, and each one feels distinct enough to keep you moving through the park. Timing matters. While the lanterns are interesting during daylight, they really come alive once darkness sets in. If you're planning a visit, aim for dusk or later to get the full effect. As expected, there were plenty of families in attendance, along with food and drink options throughout the venue. The atmosphere was relaxed and festive without feeling overwhelming. Overall, I came away glad I finally went. The displays are impressive, the event is well organized, and it's easy to see why it has become a popular Philadelphia summer tradition. While I'm not sure it's something I'd need to do every year, it's absolutely worth experiencing at least once.

Easy to get here by train - Franklin Square PATCO Station leaves you right here by the entrance literally or one can take car service or walk depending where you are coming from. Go through security and scan your ticket based on timed ticket entry and you are in. Tada! Overall it was good with interactive spots in the park. Even though earliest entry starts at 6pm, needed to wait til sunsets when the lights start coming on. The map was helpful though there wasn't really a course that took you from one section to another... it was just all open to find everything. The jellyfish mirror room was really cool but it was very warm. Lanterns were colorful. If you wish to eat in the park, there are food stands to purchase from. Have fun and take pics for memories.

We bought timed ticks online a couple of weeks in advance - with our reciprocal museum membership we got free admission. The history of this place and the artist who created it is fascinating. There is so much to see in each area and around each corner. It's easy to miss stuff. Don't forget to walk around the block to see the exteriors of nearby buildings. They have all been given the "mosaic" treatment! We were here a bit under one hour. Definitely worth a stop!

Right across from the Philadelphia City Hall, the Masonic Temple serves as the headquarters of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. It's a huge building and - wow - is it maximalist! Our tour was a little over an hour, and I recommend booking ahead (a group walked in just in front of us and hoped to buy tickets for the tour about to start, only to learn that it was sold out). Our tour guide was knowledgable (but told us when she didn't know the answer to a question because the Masons are secretive and keep a lot of facts about what occurs in the Lodge to themselves). The architecture is really stunning and there's so much to see: incredible plasterwork, grand staircases, murals, and more! Photography without flash is allowed throughout the tour, and I took about a million photographs. The Temple has a fascinating history, and the architecture and decor made my jaw drop a few times. Definitely worth visiting if you live in or are visiting Philadelphia.

The few hands-on experiences were very popular (the Giant Heart, the Asteroid) and for good reason. I'm sure the exhibits were expensive, but I would love to see a return to more tactile learning for a child-centered museum. The older exhibits like Sir Isaac's Loft, Sports Zone, and Amazing Machines were great for young kids. There were so many engaging opportunities for hands-on exploration. The Science Live Shows were wonderful (we saw Liquid Air and Combustion) and both presenters were very funny and engaging. We spent about 2.5 hours there and could have stayed longer!

Around 5:30 pm we entered and was completely ignored and dismissed by the employee in the front. Once we sat down and enjoyed our time roughly 2 hours in we rudely interrupted and a way that made us feel uncomfortable that we decided to leave. In a space that allows for others to express their self while playing we were rudely told to "Be Quiet" due to our laughter being too loud . However from the moment we entered to the moment we left their was other patrons also expressing themselves in what could be considered "loudly and yelling". As we turned to leave we could hear the same employee that was rude and dismissive our entire time say something along the line of call them a "b**ch". I have never had an experience like that before there.
