I love that they have a large variety of comedy shows, movies, tribute bands, etc. and that it is located right at Marietta square. There's a bar upstairs to hang out prior to the show, and the bathrooms, though modestly small, are generally well kept and clean. Inside the theater (I've only ever been in the room on the first floor) is clean and fairly standard in terms of seating (not tiny/cramped, but also not la-z-boys like a movie theater). I wish they had cup holders, but I find that most older/classic theaters do not. Chairs are not the most comfortable for me (my lower back hurt a bit after an hour), but my husband seemed to find it all right. Volume is on the louder end if you're up in the front (first 8 rows or so), so you might want to bring ear plugs. I found that during the beginning of the production, the lighting was still being tested/doing weird things as it was getting incredibly bright then dim on one of the singers, even when it wasn't her part. They seemed to have figured it out in the end though. Overall, we had a great time, and like I said, prices seemed about right. We are looking forward to attending more shows/events here!

Most of the concerts take place in Morgan Hall which has great acoustic and most of the ticket prices are fairly reasonable. Every season they feature not only great local talents but also international talents from across Europe and Asia such as super star Midori and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The Scott Rehearsal Hall get frequent uses by the staff and students alike along with a small Recital Hall known as room 109 where plenty of students do their junior and senior recitals. The Bailey Center is available for rental and you can use this form to request a date https://events.kennesaw.edu/venues/bailey-performance-center.php As far as I know when you attend a performance here parking is free unless they changed the policy. During popular events you may have to walk quite a bit to your car...so if you're wearing uncomfortable shoes...might want to think twice about wearing them...

We drove nearly four hours to attend this production, as I've always wanted to see Next to Normal on stage. I had never heard of the Lyric, so I checked their promo materials on instagram prior to investing in the drive and cost. It was worth it. The production was outstanding, beautifully staged, and there was so so so much talent. The lighting and scenic design were modern, sleek, and minimalist. The show should have been sold out because so much talent was involved. They had concessions and friendly front of house staff. Our only complaint was that we were on the front row, and the monitor speakers were places along the apron of the stage, which blocked action center stage terribly. If you have the opportunity to see a production here, do it. You won't regret.

Excellent acoustics, comfortable design with not a bad seat in the house. Free parking in their large lot. Win-win all around. I can't remember the shows we've seen over the years, but each and every one has been professionally executed. From the talent, to the sets, to the costumes -- perfect! Yesterday's musicale -- a retrospective of Kandor and Ebb's works -- prompted me to write this review. It was a purely enjoyable afternoon!

This 606 seat performing arts theater is part of the Cobb County Civic Center complex. The main parking lot is huge, so there shouldn't be a parking issue for any production or event at the theater. The lobby, in my opinion, is way too small for the theater. We showed up an hour before show time, and got our tickets from the impromptu Will Call table. There were some padded benches in the middle of the tiny lobby, so we, and 14 other people, sat there until the theater doors were opened about 30 minutes before the performance. Theater goers continued to enter the lobby, and it got so noisy and packed that people walking by kept brushing up against me, and a few of them actually stepped on my shoes while I was sitting. Like I stated, the lobby is way too small for the theater. I think that they should limit the number of people allowed in the lobby. When both sets of doors leading from the lobby to the theater (one set of doors on each side of the lobby) opened, people started streaming out of the lobby. We walked into the theater to find our seats, which were towards the back of the theater. Nice padded seats! There are only 17 rows of seats, and everyone has a clear view of the stage. ADA seating is allowed in the first and last rows, where there are no steps. However, everyone in the other rows need to be able to walk up and down steps to get to and from their seats. The sound system is very good, as is the lighting. From what I saw the theater is well maintained. This is a nice place to see shows without having to pay big bucks.

Not NYC Broadway quality but great by local standards. Most recently (12/21/19) we saw "Home for the Holidays". Good musical production of local talent. We were seated in the LAST row for this show, but still had great view of the stage as the theatre is relatively small. Several pictures are enclosed. Easy to find location. Plenty of free parking. Easy access to I-75. One note: This theartre is also called "Jennie T. Anderson Theatre". Am surprised I am first to review this fine place.
