I will admit to being a total wine noob, and not very interested in wines to be honest. But I left with two bottles and didn't come across a wine from them that I didn't enjoy! Lucky enough to have a tasting from the lovely couple who own this winery, they talk passionately about their wines and processes. I loved the Siegerrebe Gewurztraminer and the Marechal Foch. It's very cool how they only use their own grapes they have grown on the property! If you're in the area, stop by for sure :)

The employee who was providing us with the tastings and describing for us each wine offered on the tasting was very nice. However, it appeared she didn't know the product all too well or forgot some key descriptions on some of the wine. I love that on their charcuterie board it offered local food specific to Cowichan Valley. The duck pate with port jelly along with the Cowichan cheese from a local farm down the road is a nice touch to complement the experience.

They were friendly and we lucked out having the Lorin lead our tasting. He is so knowledgeable and makes a delicious wine. The grape varietals are amazing. It's wine like you've never had before. I can't wait for them to be able to ship to the States. Most of our wine made it over the border. We only lost 3 in transit which is a bummer. It was a very hot day when I visited, so we were lucky to be able to sit out back on the patio seating with wonderful views of the water out in the distance looking out over the Orchards. Our waitress was very nice as well as knowledgeable about all the types of cider. I enjoyed the cherry one very much. I opted to go with the traditional 'birds and bees cider', which was a very refreshing apple cider with pear which was so easy to drink and just perfect on the hot day. The cidery has lovely grounds you could walk about and has a well stocked cidery store inside the barn. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere here and hope to visit again. For lunch, we had the flatbread, and my hubby had a bowl of the seafood chowder which he loved. Perfect plate to share.
