It's a clean looking dive bar full of regulars that didn't make you feel out of place and the young woman bar tending was very friendly. The young woman bar tending had the mouth of a sailor which I really liked, a real person and no dainty proper woman here. I felt like a Makers Mark which I asked if they had and she said let me look, she came back and said only Makers Mark 46. Ok let me get this straight, the dive bar doesn't have regular Makers Mark but they have the more expensive Makers Mark 46 OK. The game was playing on several TVs all over the bar which everything was into and it was not the packers playing. The sign on the wall had limited pizza options for food and all frozen I'm sure. Sundays are $3 mini pitchers of domestic beer which most people were having judging by how many were on the bar and the tip off to me asking if it was a special today. Overall it's a nice neighborhood dive bar with friendly people where you can hav a drink and relax.

I think stick to what you do well is the name of the game. Chicken wings are one of the menu items. There are multiple choices for sauce. The hot is the closest to what I think of as Buffalo Wings. They were crispy, hot, and juicy. The flavor of the sauce was good, but they weren't as covered in the sauce as I would have liked. The bartender who was also the cook (and I very nice fellow) said that the Spicy BBQ and Garlic Parmisan are his favorite. I will be back to try those.

We knew Brownstone would be the perfect place to celebrate. All positive feedback! 1. Cleanliness and Management The establishment is always clean. I was to witness the owner personally wiping down tables and adjusting furniture. Seeing an owner take such visible pride in their business and never being "too good" to work really stands out to me and sets a great tone for the venue. 2. Happy Hour, Drinks, and Vibe Their happy hour is absolutely amazing, with affordable prices and great options. It normally stops at 7:00 PM, but they extended it until 9:00 PM last night! The drinks were made to order, arrived shortly after ordering, and tasted great. They weren't so strong that you couldn't enjoy them, but they definitely packed a punch. The atmosphere was flawless thanks to the staff and 2 DJs who kept the music upbeat and perfect. The entire crowd was having a time, singing along on cue and swaying to the music. 3. The Food We ordered pasta and happy hour appetizers, and everything was delicious. From presentation to taste, the kitchen delivered exactly what we were hoping for. I have absolutely no complaints. It was another fantastic experience celebrating a great holiday with an even better crowd. To answer your question, will I return? Absolutely! In fact, I might even head back after Summerfest this weekend!

The bartender was very friendly but once again didn't know what a gin Rickey was but that's ok because no one has so far. The place is your typical Wisconsin dive bar with the bar and tables around it. Tons of TVs and a pool table with chance machines. One very cool thing which is smart is that they give you a small basket of salty chips that looked like sour cream and chive, salt doesn't really make you drink more but some people might. The windows let in lots of natural light so it's not a dungeon feel. I think the table in back was enjoying playing gin because they kept shuffling a deck of cards. It's clearly a neighborhood hang out where everyone knows each other like most all bars and I'm the outsider because I'm always stopping at new places because it's who I am. I completely enjoyed my visit and I'm probably coming back since it's close to work.

The common vibe is retro quirk and Two is the ultimate in decor. Be sure to check out the cute two-seater booths behind the curtains. The event pricing and catering is quite reasonable. They offer a great balance of veggie friendly and omnivore options. We went for their artichoke dip (so good!), little pigs in blankets (super popular with the crowd), bruschetta (excellent, fresh), General Tso's style chicken sliders (people raved), pork sliders (I heard good noises), a salmon sandwich and a Mediterranean veggie sandwich (very good). The food was a hit. I think some of the bread got a little overly firm and the salmon was a tad fishy, but everything else was amazing. Kudos to the staff for bringing us to-go containers for the excess. My guests were thrilled. We went with an open bar system, up to a limit and provided our guests with our own drink tickets. Our dedicated bartender, Erin, was super. She was friendly and patient, even though our 20 guests kept her hopping the whole time. Since the ice cream drinks are time-intense, we might have benefited from a bar back to help her out. The one problem, that couldn't be resolved, was terrible AC and no air flow. My fun, retro-elegant cocktail party was filled with hot, sweaty guests. I was disturbed to hug all comers with visible perspiration. Ack. They really, really, really need to upgrade the cooling. I love this place, but that was wilting. Still, a good time was had by all. Kudos for having CBD and non-alcoholic options to cover the spectrum,

The place: Two is easy to overlook. From the outside, it…read morelooks like another indescribable dive with the stone exterior and only one window up high. The sign is a single numeral, 2. Hubsy gushed about this bar enough that I resisted until Saturday night when I felt restless. Inside, Two is a low-lit neighborhood bar. There's a fair number of large tables for groups and the booths noted by other reviewers behind bead curtains. Two glows like the inside of a supernatural heart. Warm, red, and playing some solid music -- some I recognized (Death Cab for Cutie) and others I didn't (the bluesy tune). There's a jukebox. The location: Located next to its flashier cousin, Art Bar, it's easy to miss Two. About 3-4 blocks west of Humboldt on Burleigh, use Art Bar as your landmark. There's plenty of unmetered street parking on Burleigh or the residential streets. The service: When we walked in, we were greeted immediately by the bartender. She also asked if we had ever been there before. Based on the people who came in after us, my guess is that she knows the regulars. Very cool. The drinks: My first sip of Dark and Stormy was all rum. I didn't mind, so when I stirred, it was perfectly balanced. Good ginger beer, good rum. The Moscow Mule Hubsy got was sweeter than my drink which was surprising but delightful. Each of our drinks were $8.50. I didn't pay attention to the beer specials, but maybe next time. Next time: I'll probably stay longer to do some people-watching and writing. Maybe I'll check out the beer.
