Lio is experienced, well-connected, and radiates a love for his craft. He was up-front about learning the profession, technology, skills, and the practice it takes to get better. There was no sales pitch whatsoever, just an honest and transparent explanation of how he teaches, what the student can expect, and how parents can support the process. My teen had his first lesson in Lio's home studio last week. Cloud nine does not begin to describe the experience for him! Having JUST moved from NYC, my belongings and recording studio soundproofing stuffs haven't all been delivered yet... and yet my voiceover clients were chomping at the bit... and I was losing sleep and hair, stressing out because my usually-within-24-hours-and-normally-far-less turnaround time has come to an agonizing, screeching halt. You see, due to Covid, commercial production worldwide has slowed: plywood, ketchup, chlorine pool tablets -- AND my soundproofing materials!! They won't be delivered for another 10-12 weeks-- eeek!! I decided it was time to take action... and search around for a recording studio to save me from VO purgatory. Enter Adrenaline Studios: 3 min away from my new home! Flexible scheduling, understanding staff, snazzy studios-- I even kidded that they looked like NASA compared to MY home recording studio! Jesus and Tony were my supportive audio engineers... and man, you couldn't get a more knowledgeable, intuitive and helpful duo! You see, I've been recording, editing, and mastering my own files for 20 years... its REALLY DIFFICULT to relinquish control... but I'm GLAD I did!! These guys have clocked far more experience and education than I ever will have (heck-- I know where they went to school-- and those are GREAT schools!)... and I chose to see this entire opportunity as a learning experience. They even gave me some tips on typical post production errors that VO artists tend to make (myself included!) -- so talk about bang for your buck! I'm not done with Adrenaline Studios yet... Matt, the owner is a super nice guy and a real pro. He can do anything. The other guys, Brandon, Jesus and Nigel also rock. All of them are great engineers and work well with both talent and the clients. If you're in town and need a place to record, I highly recommend Adrenaline Studios. If you need to record a radio, TV or internet commercial, this is a great place to do it. They have a deep well of talent available to record too. They can handle all types of projects. I come here for a weekly dance class in the studio at the far end, called "Stones." It is well lit,…read morewith a stage at the far end. The dance floor is free of columns, except for a few near the entrance. Some of the tiles on the dance floor have protruding corners which sometimes catch your shoes while dancing. So, these need to be fixed. The studio is cold during winter due to a lack of indoor heating, combined with cold air that enters each time the entrance door is opened. This is resolved by wearing a long-sleeve shirt or light coat. Once warmed up from dancing, a short-sleeve shirt is fine.

There is a small parking lot in front and some street parking around the venue. If you get there early, you can snag a spot there in front. We scored one. Just inside the front doors is a small lobby with a bar that serves a few options for beer, wine, mixed drinks, sodas, and water, along with a few snack options. The bartender was friendly and took care of us quickly. The venue is through another set of doors and seats about 200-250 people. With that size, there isn't a bad seat in the house. We were in the back row of seats and were still only about 100 feet from the stage, if that. There is also a section of bleacher-type seating in the very back. The sound and lighting system were excellent. There is also a room in the back that they use for meet and greets. Again, small bar serving drinks. They also had a charcuterie table set up. I don't know if that was specific to the artist performing that night or a typical offering, but the spread was very nice, offering decorative cups with a small variety of meats and cheeses, along with salted caramel chocolate. There were also cake pops offered. Overall, this is a great venue. I would recommend looking into the shows they have to offer and come check one out!
