The peanut butter cup cookie delivered exactly what you want. Rich, slightly salty, and loaded with melted chocolate. The double chocolate was equally solid, dense without being heavy and packed with flavor. Both were noticeably better than anything I have had from Crumbl Cookies, which tends to lean more toward "dessert as a concept" than something you actually want to eat twice. These cookies required commitment. We are talking melted chocolate and butter actively trying to escape onto your hands with every bite. Which brings me to the only issue. Napkins. Apparently, they had "run out." Now, I am not saying this is part of some broader Vermont environmental philosophy where napkins are viewed as a non-essential luxury item for outsiders, but I am also not ruling it out. You cannot serve cookies at this level of structural melt and then just send people into the world to deal with it on their own. That said, I would absolutely go back. Great cookies, served the way cookies should be, hot and unapologetically messy. Just maybe bring your own napkins if you are not fully ready to embrace the Burlington experience.
