TALK ABOUT ARROGANT. RUN AWAY!
When you're looking for a home, especially a first home, wouldn't you want to work with someone kind, understanding, and accommodating? Well, Stewart is absolutely NOT that. Although this is the first home I am buying for myself, it is not the first home buying experience. We previously used a family friend as a realtor but she is gone now so we were looking for a new realtor. I am not the type of person to just go with the first thing or person I see, I need to get along and connect with whomever I work with. I started looking on Zillow for homes and wanted to take a look at some homes and did the automatic message to the listing realtor requesting to see the house. For some reason I was directed to a bunch of different realtors that were supposed to help me with the buying process and were not the listing realtor. Anyways, I went to a house and the realtor never showed up even though I waited 30 minutes. I then went to the next house and I called the realtor 5 minutes before the meet time just to confirm that this realtor was coming since the first realtor didn't. At first he was nice and said his partner would be there and then he said, "you have 5 minutes, it's only 1:55 and the appointment is 2, give it some time and relax." Is this guy married? Does he not know never to say "relax" to a woman and especially a woman HE HAS NEVER MET? I said, I was just frustrated because I went to a showing previously and the realtor didn't show up and he replied saying he would call his partner to see where he is at and that he would call or message me back. 10 minutes later, I received no response and it was 5 minutes after the appointment time so I called Stewart again. He didn't answer the first 2 calls and then answered the 3rd (total of 4 calls were made if you include the initial call). I get that I may have called too much but my time is precious too. When he finally answered and ask him if he heard anything, he got frustrated with me and told me "He's 5 minutes late, can you relax!? Can you just wait?! It's 5 minutes." I got upset with him and so I said, "no I think I'm just going to go". He replied angrily, "No, wait there. He's coming. It's 5 minutes, can you really not wait!?" He said this all with a raised voice and extreme attitude. I then explained again how I think the partner he was sending may be the person that blew me off at the first house and he then got even more angry. I kid you not, he said, "LISTEN TO ME. WHAT ARE YOU DOING. NO. NO. YOU DON'T DO THAT. YOU WORK WITH ME. DON'T GO TO ANYONE ELSE. ARE YOU LISTENING. YOU ONLY WORK WITH ME. DON'T DO THAT. DO YOU UNDERSTAND."
I was so upset and shocked and just said okay and hung up. HE DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO TELL ME WHO TO WORK WITH. I DIDN'T REACH OUT TO HIM TO BE MY REALTOR, ZILLOW JUST SENT ME TO HIM WHEN I REQUESTED A SHOWING FROM THE LISTING MANAGER.
It is obviously clear this guy is a money hungry and power tripped misogynistic chauvinist. I am so certain that all these 5 star reviews are just because he works hard to get money and not that he actually has concern for his clients. He is truly a terrible person to work with. I highly recommend working with Ben Hickman instead. Out of all the realtors I've met with and actually did business with, he is very diligent and hardworking. He doesn't push things when I say I don't like something and tries to cater to exactly what I am asking for. Stewart honestly lost out of some great opportunities working with my family but I'm glad I met Ben. If anyone has any questions or would like to hear the conversation of him yelling at me please reach out.
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS PERSON.
Attacking someone explaining their experience as bullying? That's an exaggeration if I ever saw one. read more
