Our experience with Stevie & Ryan was incredible. We found this couple online by researching photographers in the area and really liked their work on the website. We had a discovery call with Stevie and quickly realized she was the one. (Give her a call.. you'll know why!!) We had our engagement shoot and met Stevie in person for the first time, she made us feel so comfortable when we didn't know how to pose or where to look. It was so nice spending a half day with her and getting to know her before wedding day. For us it was important to find someone we were comfortable with and she is great at making you feel like you rocked all your photos. Come wedding day, we meet Ryan her hubbie... at this point we're now we're realizing we hired the coolest photographer couple out there.. We have used Stevie for our company events for years and her work has been incredible. When I needed to hire a photographer to shoot our photos for our website redesign I already knew who to call. She was challenged with taking directions on what I needed for the site via Zoom (I couldn't be at the shoot) and social distancing spacing for the group shots. She got everything I needed and more! The spacing looked so natural that you would never know that she social distanced everyone. Plus, when we had a few changes in personnel, I was easily able to Photoshop them out without anyone knowing the difference. I scheduled a family maternity shoot with Stevie, there was some confusion on start time and we ended up with a limited amount of time to shoot. Between that and trying to wrangle a 4-year-old the entire time, I was expecting to at best come out with a handful of photos I was happy with - but Stevie made magic happen!!!! I highly recommend Stevie Dee Photography. We had Stevie do our family photos and I wasn't sure what kind of venue and backdrop would be good. She provided some ideas by having me look through her online gallery. What was really nice was the photo shoot location fee was waived because she is a frequent customer of theirs. I purchased the $300 package which for the price I thought was very reasonable. She met us at the photo shoot location and was very easy to work with. For over an hour, we had unlimited poses at a beautiful setting. Our four children and us really enjoyed working with her friendly demeanor. She must have taken over a 1000 photos of us. I know how much time it takes to go through all the photos and select the best ones of each pose, and that's what she did. She edited all of them and a couple weeks later I was able download all 185 of them from her website. Her website is very informative and very easy to navigate. The photos turned out wonderfully. Wish we could give more than 5 stars for the work and relationship we developed with Stevie and her team. Not only was she quick with responses, assisted with time line, dealt a covid bride that had to plan and unplan the wedding several times, but they also had a very unusual day of weather for San Diego with high wind and rain. They kept me (the bride) sane, got us laughing even though I was freezing and soaked, and they made sure to fit in every photo we had requested and then some. The results we got back (quickly) were UNREAL!!!! From the before's and details of both the brides side and grooms, to the insane walk down the isle, and photos of our minimal covid friendly dinner - they caught it all, the laughs, tears, hugs and happiness. We can't wait to use them again for photos in the future - maternity, family, Christmas cards... And already have multiple friends asking for their contact from our photos. Where do I start... Stevie was recommended to us through our wedding venue and I am SO THANKFUL that we found her! Upon our first meeting with her, my now husband and I knew she was the right fit for us. She was super friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. Our consultation was fun, productive, and had us looking forward to working with her (and we are not ones who look forward to taking photos...). Our engagement shoot was a couple months later. Stevie was so helpful working with me and taking the time to find the perfect location. I basically just let her run with wherever she thought was best, and we ended up at Lake Skinner which was the perfect fit for what we were looking for. It ended up being a cloudy day, but Stevie assured us that the pictures would turn out great, and they did! She made the whole process feel natural and fun- even for two awkward picture takers. We also brought our dog along for the photos, and Stevie was so flexible in working with our crazy pup. When it was time to start solidifying details for the wedding, Stevie, again, helped me through the entire process and even spent over an hour on the phone with me finalizing the timeline and offering suggestions and recommendations (we only had a day-of coordinator, and it was clear I needed all the help I could get!). As always, she couldn't have been nicer in taking the time to answer all of my questions and provide her words of wisdom. For the actual wedding day, I felt a sense of relief when I saw her at the venue. We had developed such a great relationship over our months working together, and I felt like I had formed a friend and photographer all in one! Her and her husband Ryan had everything handled and made my husband and I feel so comfortable. I already knew we were in good hands, so I really didn't have anything to worry about the day of. She even helped keep us on schedule throughout the night, and I really don't think the night would have run as smoothly without her!
